Urine my friend is sterile - thats in the absence of a disease condition. As you know secreted by the kidneys. Urine is greater than 95% water but contains also urea, chloride, sodium, potassium and creatinine. Urine is sterile only though until it reaches the Urethra where then it is colonised by bacteria hence you can smell strong odours from urine when you pass it most noticeably ammonia which is produced by the breakdown of Urea. Hence Urine is not toxic but does contain undesirables as mentioned after passing through the Urethra. My point is many years ago when in the Boys Brigade one of our mates (and we were only 12/13) at summer camp ran out of money and asked us all to whip in money for him if he drank his own piss after pissing into a glass. He earned quite a bit after we all chucked in and drank the lot with no after effects what so ever.

ive actually done it b4. it was salty kinda like soy sauce but no flaver.it is salty but it wasnt all that bad ;)

Definitely no harm in drinking your pee if fresh and no infection will probably taste better if you drink lots before hand
My ex got me to drink a pint of her pee really turned her on me too as it happens

Not that I've done it before, but you maybe want to drink mostly water for a while before you do it. Might be slightly more pleasant. But yeah, no real harmful effects.

As others have said, unless you have some kind of bladder infection, urine is sterile. If you're going to try it, it would be best to catch the urine in a cup mid-stream. The first urine that comes out will wash out any bacteria in the urethra. After that, drinking up shouldn't be a problem.

There's nothing wrong with drinking pee, especially your own. In Amsterdam, the hookers are given a handbook which suggests that drinking someone's pee is okay, but anything with faeces should be avoided.

I know this from a Beduin.
In the desert, if you run out of water, you need to drink your own urine, for survival reasons.
The bacteria, or whatever, already is in your body - so no problem! :)

Bear Grylls never seems to have any problems, and he drinks his own urine every episode. I'd almost think he enjoyed the taste and got off on drinking it in public on TV!
