I'm a big fan of sex stories. The problem with a lot of stories is that, frankly, they suck. As an amateur science-fiction writer (Not just Sex Stories) I have a few tips:
1. Read. Seriously. The best writers are often very prolific readers. Anne McCaffrey, in multiple interviews, complained of not having enough shelves for all of the books that she owned. I'm a very prolific reader - I try to read every day. Read various stuff, Scifi, mystery, comedy.
2. Don't be afraid to let other writers influence you. Good writers borrow from one another. Great writers Steal. :) (Seriously, don't steal from another writer. That was a joke.)
3. Detail = GOOD!!!!!!!!!! I hate stories where it's like, "They undressed each other and had sex." DETAIL, DETAIL, DETAIL. Moment-by-moment if you have to! It's hard to go wrong with too much detail. It's easy to go wrong with too little detail.
