Well not quite, but it's close.

I'll be really interested to see how the government reacts to this possibility... and what everyone here thinks of the idea, of the US losing most (or even all) of it's car industry, to the Chinese, should this actually happen.

Bye for now - Fluffy McNoo.

Perfect, why not let them take them off of our hands. Hummers and Rams will sell well in China.

What would be doubly amusing is if china simply refused to export the cars for sale in america.

I mean it's China. It OWNS everything in china.

You have a point there Fluffy.

I'll bet that they infringe on patents too.

Case in point. A few years ago BMW built a convertible scooter. It sold for $6750.00. It was a 400cc. Two years ago I bought a Baron 150BAS also a convertible copy of the BMW for $1500.00 Delivered to my front door. As you can see by the pictures they look identical.

The Chinese aren't stupid. They want our business. I have several of these Chinese scooters and motorcycles. Granted the quality isn't there but at the price you pay for one, fixing it when it breaks down is more than replacing it.

The “Red Baron” as I call it has 56,000 miles on it and I only have had to replace the drive belt once. Clean the air filters and change the oil once a month.

There is one thing tat seems often to be forgotten regarding the issue of moving the industry to other countris.

What do people need to buy things?
Money!
Where does money come from?
Jobs!
Where do jobs come from?
Firms!

Where do jobs come from ones the firms have outsourced their production lines?
Ups.

Now that must be a swift kick in the groin. You can't keep up a decent level of employment when the firms keep outsourcing.

Hence you can't keep up a healthy economy in Europe and the US once you start making everything in China or other countries.

The stupidity of this line of thought is so severe that it hurts.

Kind regards
