It seems now we are getting the real changes that Obama promised. (With the exception of the health care fiasco).

Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by over two and a half million votes. The Republicans lost seats in both houses of Congress. I am not saying that Donald Trump's victory is Constitutionally invalid. I am saying that he lacks a mandate.

In 1964 Lyndon Johnson defeated Barry Goldwater in a landslide. Johnson won 61% of the popular vote. The Democrats won two to one majorities in both houses of Congress.

In 1964 the Democrats had mandates to avoid war with the Soviet Union and to preserve the basic reforms of the New Deal.

The Democrats over stepped their mandate by making welfare benefits more generous and easier to qualify for, and by making punishment for criminals less severe and less likely.

The result was a rise in crime and welfare dependency, even as the unemployment rate continued to decline. From 1964 to 1968 American cities were wracked by black ghetto riots.

The result of these has been a Republican ascendancy that, with brief pauses, continues to this day.

Donald Trump has already promised to cut taxes for the rich. For years public opinion surveys have indicated support for raising taxes on the rich.

Trump's choice for Labor Secretary is Andrew Puzder. Puzder is on record for advocating more immigration and more automation to replace American workers and to lower their wages.

This is not what Trump's blue collar base voted for.

During the primary polls indicated that Bernie Sanders could defeat Donald Trump. If wages and job opportunities do not improve for white blue collar workers, and I predict they will not, I predict that many who voted for Trump last November will vote for a democratic socialist in November 2020.

The strong public opinions for decades have also wanted accountability for massive federal fucking government spending.

Puzder also been vocal about his opposition to raising the minimum wage.

Puzder praised Trumps tax plan as “pro-growth”.

 

I knew Mr. Smith was too much of an attention whore to give up his Trump sock to spread his false propaganda and lies.

Such as the Trump campaign might have only spent $600 million but Trump also got more than $2 billion in free air time and still lost the popular vote by more than 2.5 million.

Sure Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) and the rest of the conservative/Republican/Tea Party members of congress will continue to try and investigate the Clintons while at the same time not only refusing to investigate how Russia stole our presidential election in favor of Trump but even buried that fact with the help of FBI director James Comey.

And it used to be that the biggest lie of the lie of conservatism as it is preached and practiced in this nation was that conservatives were fiscally responsible and favored limited government. But now the most glaring and saddest lie of conservatism is that conservatives are patriotic and love this country when all they really love is power and are perfectly willing to sell our c0untry out to Russia without firing a shot just as long as they are in power.

And Trump didn't beg the media attach themselves to his asshole like the parasites they are. They did it willingly because they knew they'd make headlines and sell ad revenue. And as for what he did to pay for it, he always talked to the press, unlike HilLIARy who avoided the press for nearly a year, except for her "staged" events.
