I'm going to post a song every day here in General Discussion.

Sometimes it will be a song that's a personal favourite of mine, or a new song/group that I've heard, or maybe pertinent to the date, or something in the news, whatever. The song may be accompanied by a factoid about it, or not. Since it's my thread it's my rules, and here they are:

1. Comments are encouraged, please feel free to say what you like about the song/s.
2. People posting their own songs is also encouraged, please do!
3. This is not a thread for flame wars, insults, pick-up lines, racial slurs, back-biting, squabbling or in-fighting, but this is XNXX General Discussion so it's going to happen anyway, have at it!

That's the spirit, K! Thank you for that. That's a lovely, jolly, happy song. Very appropriate too at the moment here; it's Sunday morning, the sun is shining across a bright blue sky with nary a cloud to be seen, I have a cup of tea nearby and all is well Chez Jayney. It's alright. De-doo-de-doo-doo.

Back in 94, I spent 4 months working in Holland. I'd bought a CD of Howard Jones several months before but had somehow missed this track and only discovered it while I was there. It brings back all the amazing memories every time I hear it.

Another old favourite from me today, these were the first band I ever saw live in concert, I was 15 years old, rode to the gig on the back of my then-boyfriend's motorcycle, a couple of puffs on a spliff, a couple of cans of strong lager before the show and it was wonderful - deafeningly loud, disorientating visuals and intoxication, brilliant!

I was late getting home, and got grounded for a week but I didn't care.
