One story to go and that is brootforce's epic. I've left it to last so I have time to read it and appreciate it as it truly deserves.

I had fears for KAW#2 when it was hit by the hiatus and that may have put several people off writing stories for it. However, as is often the case, quantity is no replacement for quality and the entries we have are of a high standard. Take into account that several of the authors have written very few stories and I think we can rejoice in the fact that we have an up-and-coming group of writers who are capable of producing solid, well thought out stories that aren't just about sex.

Well done everyone and good luck in the voting.

 

Well, I'm done reading of all the stories. I've got to say thank you to all of you - I've enjoyed reading the stories, and some of them, I've got a feeling, will leave a lasting memory in my mind.

 

I just have one small request - may I have 8 votes please? I hate all of you KAW authors. You have no idea how difficult you made finding just three stories to vote on. Really, really, really good creations. My hat is off to all of you.

 

Well I couldn't find the words to comment on every of the stories in this competition but I enjoyed most them. Deciding which stories to vote for was only marginally easier.

My top choice has to be Brootforce's Seabreeze. This one had to be by far the most creative of all the entries in my opinion.

Number two is Pars001 Christmas Detour. This story while kind cliche through parts was very heartwarming and everything you would expect from a Christmas story.

My final vote went to Darkthunder's Well, That Sucks. I have always been a fan of Shooter's posts on GD and this story features so much of the humor and imagination that is the hallmark of his character that I had to give this one a vote.

 

Stories read and commented on. Votes cast. Now I am working on my next novel...

 

I just wanted to say thank you, and that I'm glad you liked it I didn't know who that person was up to this point, but I've looked him up and I can see why it reminds of you him - the story about the 'weird family' was rather funny. Seems like a nice guy.

 

Ok, just a few comments. I have looked at the results so far was surprised, glad everyone liked my story, believe it or not I wrote that in about 3 hours (I write fast) and though I don't think what I write is that good I do appreciate the positive feedback. Good luck to all and though I don't expect to win I still had fun writing it.

Thank you Norton for undergoing the hard work involved to feature some very interesting, varied and well written stories. Also. thank you Brootforce for expressing something that has always disturbed me about the CAW competitions, Kaws, and even stories on the story site. Most readers don't vote, the majority don't even comment and that is a darn shame!

DEAR READERS, Thank you for reading these stories, but as someone who has written for these competitions, but unfortunately not for this one, I think we writers have a bone to pick with you. Writing is not easy, and for most of us it is very time consuming.

Very few of you readers ever vote for the stories that have been written for your pleasure. WHY? Most of the writers on this site write to please others, and they do it for free. The only thing they would ask for is some feedback, or appreciation for creating something that perhaps you have enjoyed. Please vote for the stories you like. It doesn't take much time or effort and it might mean a lot to someone. It might even give them the inspiration to continue writing more stories that you will enjoy.
