The article goes on claiming that this is power grab that stifles the economy, world wide, where the federal fucking government will be the sole entity that chooses who will be successful with their investments towards the internet, anyone with a half a braincell will come to the logical conclusion that this is mere corporate cronyism, by limiting competition.

FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler justified the FCC’s power grab by declaring his opposition to broadband providers being allowed to “choose who to serve based on whether there is an economic case for it.” Wheeler is ignoring the real world, in which cost determines what can be afforded at present, and dreaming of an ideal world without scarcity in which abundance can be shared equally with all, in which lies a touch of socialism.

Now that the internet will be politicized, where will the political oppositions information be located?, the leftists' media outlets?

 

How about we turn that around. The government couldn't even produce a semi-functioning website on time for the rollout (despite spending hundreds of millions of dollars) so would would yoiu give them control of the entire internet?

It’s slow going for health plans to make sure the 11.4 million people who have signed up end up in the right plan. Subsidy payments aren’t automated, so the insurers get payments based on estimates. And adding information like a marriage or the birth of a child is a convoluted, multi-step process.

Here's the thing. Obamacare software wasn't plowing new ground. Think Kayak.com, or any of the airline reservation web sites. They all do what Obamacare.com was supposed to do. And, they are more secure.

This was not new. None of it.

I've never done website development, but I'm positive if someone was given $600 Million to develop a web site like Obamacare for a company and failed as miserably as the government did, heads would roll. Actually, I doubt any company would think it would take $600 Million to develop it.

And there wouldn't be anyone out there making excuses for the cluster F@!k either. Heads would just start rolling.

 

Yeah, I get it, it's not ground breaking... And neither are Apple products or Microsoft products... They both borrowed from Linux (or GNU and Berkley). And yet they have problems. Sun had major holes in their Java platform well past version one.

And as far as your cost goes, I've yet to see anything that is credible. I've seen claims that it cost $300M, $600M, $870M, and even one that claimed $5B.

 

While you have your head in your hands, sitting on the toilet, appearing to be constipated, as your avatar might suggest, understand one thing, obviously the federal fucking government does not care how much money it spends.

Understand another thing, the current administration that is the federal fucking government, knows one way to do everything, ''redistribution of wealth'', a Canadian fucking company got the contract to fuck up the Obamacare website, obviously Obama has ZERO FAITH in the American people and business.

Also, I'm not the one who set out to fundamentally transform the country, which indeed he did, but not in ways people are happy with (considering the last election.) I'm not the one who goes on TV and blames everyone else for my own faults and shortcomings. And you would think that, for a "fundamental change" of the magnitude of the ACA, which he knew his own fucking name was attached to (and joked how Republicans wouldn't call it Obamacare once they saw how successful it would be), you would think he would have involved himself enough to make sure day 1 would really only see "glitches", as opposed to full-on meltdown. (You know, maybe skip a fundraiser or golf game or two...)

It was when it went into production. Before that it stayed in a Test environment and bug-tested. Then the output was tested for accuracy by sending rest-results to business analysts to verify it matched the results they expected from the test data they supplied. And then a few more test runs were completed.

Then and ONLY THEN did it get anywhere near the production cycle. Are YOU aware that that's how software development goes? See, because in a business environment, if we didn't perform those tests and checks, there WOULD BE no business environment to speak of as far as that company goes. They don't get to say, "Oh well, throw more governemnt money at it."

The back end is still not built, because the rules for the back end are still evolving.

That means each and every "successful" registration is committed on the honor system.

That means each and every policy and claim has the potential to go into subrogration or some other form of dispute, either in the near future or more likely years from now.

Every moment that site runs without crashing, the U.S. national debt grows exponentially-- not only because the business model is a Ponzi Scheme, but also because of all the potential litigation that is caused by its "success."

We'll get our first taste of its "success" this spring, when the IRS starts garnishing refunds for assessed fees that millions of people do not know that they owe.

And in coming years, it will get better, and better, and better.
