Bibi Netanyahu is reputed to have an IQ of 180. I am interested in seeing what he can do with all that brain power in his speech before Congress on March 3, 2015.

He may be tempted to exploit anti Obama sentiment in the United States and in Israel. That would be unwise. He needs to increase support in the United States and Israel for a hard line stand against Iran that includes the willingness to destroy Iranian nuclear facilities from the air. To do that he needs to appeal to those who, like me, love Israel and like President Obama.

He should at least pretend to respect Obama, while thanking him for the support he has given to Israel. The only people he should openly express hostility for are leaders in Iran. He needs to portray Iranian nuclear potential as a threat to the United States, as well as to Israel.

 

He already did all of this in a speech to a smaller audience today, which he no doubt used as a rehearsal. In the speech he gave today, he said that the relationship between Israel and the United States is stronger than ever. Obviously this is a filthy lie, but he had to say it, for the reasons you have outlined.

 

I am so glad that Bibi got the invite to speak,, if it pisses Obama off,,I like it.

I am unaware of a Democrat or a Republican politician who has advocated that the United States stop supporting Israel.

It's most likely not how he personally feels, but he can't jeopardise the election by pissing off the Muslim vote, which the Labour Party relies heavily on.
