Hello all! That's the question! In your opinion what's the best lube for anal sex? I use Astroglide is water based it works good but looking for something perhaps better! Thank you!

Astroglide and KY are fine. This is one of those times when quantity wins out over quality. The key to good anal lube is to use plenty of it and relube often. Those cute little bottles you find at the sex boutique are nice, but you get 1/3 as much at twice the price.

 

I might be getting the wrong astroglide in the shops around me or something. I'm from Europe, and products with the same name can vary from the US market. I say this, cause everyone seems to mention it when this question is asked, but I find it to be way too thin and watery. It's ok, but I need industrial sized package, as thin lubes need to be reapplied a bit more often and provide a little less slick-ness. It's better for rubbing, or vaginal sex, but for anal I preffer something a little thicker. I buy some moderately priced no name lube, because I like it's viscosity and it's rather cheap, so, as everyone already pointed out, I can use a lot of it. So my advice is to shop around.

I just use pussy juices or nothing

 

I use coconut oil when playing solo & Swiss Navy Silicone Based Lubricant when having anal sex with a partner. I find it lasts a long time & you don't need to use a ton. The one drawback with SNL, you'll need to shower with soap & water to get it all off.

 

You also can't use silicone toys with silicone-based lubes if I remember that correctly.
That's why I preffer water-based. Versatile.

 

One important point: Compared to a penis, the anus is a piece of heavy duty hardware. It's made for rough duty and is fairly tough.

The penis, in the other hand, is intended for use in a self lubricating, very smooth vagina. When it comes to abrasion because of lack of lube, the cock wears out faster.

This won't be apparent until the next morning, when you have to piss. It's makes wearing pants a real ordeal. Keep a tube of high quality(creamy) zinc oxide in you medicine cabinet.
