To recap, the voting was for as many (or as few) stories as the reader wanted to. The vote was a number from 1 to 10 (10 being the highest).

The winner is decided by the highest total vote gained from all voters. I made a few other analyses (see amusements below). I was surprised that most of those metrics produced exactly the same result.

I won't say how many votes they got, initially I thought it might not be fair if it outvoted a regular entry, at one point it FLASH! threatening to do that. But then several voters didn't vote for the non entries, which drags their scores down.

A Huge Congrats to everyone who participated. Do not think of this as a loss. You just didn't hit the right buttons. You all tell me I am a good writer and I have never won one of these contests.

 

In a comment somewhere up there, ToyMaker asks if we can have the full results. I wasn't planning on releasing them, it's not traditionally been done.

Does anyone have any strong opinions on this?

I could, as one host offered recently, send individual results out privately if people want that. Though it might be better if you just left it to your imagination.

I can say that ToyMaker did not come last, so she can't claim to be the loser. Also anyone who entered more than one story couldn't be last with all of them, even in Florida.

Opinions? I don't want to turn this into a general bitch about the voting. There are other threads about that.

 

Thanks everybody! I'm still a little shocked at this, mostly since I know my subject matter is a kink for only a very certain subset of erotic fiction readers. I have an idea for a 6th KAW, but it wouldn't be until after CAW 26, so February at the earliest.

 

Seven entries received 10 points each from me. "Dignity, Gone in a Flash" was one of them. I just want to thank Stex for allowing us to vote like this in KAW 5. While I had nothing to do with his choosing this method of voting, the idea has popped up in my mind several times. It's nice for everybody to get votes, but voting also serves the function of bringing out one winner. I think this method accomplished these two things, especially with the number of entries submitted in this round. Thank you, everyone. I look forward to KAW 6 hosted by LOAnnie2.
