You both have to get on the same side.
In this instance , it is not really just a matter of doing it the american way or else.
America needs China's help , more than China needs America's ,

North Korea is one of several trouble spots Trump will likely have to deal with.
Shooter predicts that Trump and the Chinese will find a workable solution.
He is, after all, the great negotiator.
Not that it would matter to unsupporters; they'll find something to froth about no matter what.

Now, if Shooter was President;
He'd explain to the world that the US is always ready to negotiate. Ready to find common ground, a place to start from that we can all agree on. But, understand, if you don't want to negotiate, if you just plain want to fight, we'll still be ready to negotiate anyway. The thing is, once I pull the State department out and call in the Marines, the negotiations will only resume once a Marine boot is firmly planted on your fucking neck.

The DMZ was the sissy way to end that mess.
If China and Russia had stayed out of it North and South Korea could have solved it themselves and we wouldn't have gotten sucked in.

The lesson from that mess is; once you send in the troops go all in, and do not discuss negotiations until that pissed off 19 year old Marine's boot is firmly planted on their fucking neck.

North Korea is a rogue nation, it has been a rogue nation, it will continue to be a rogue nation, all the way up to the point and time that it isn't a nation any longer.

 

China is the only shot for it to end peacefully.
Fortunately their deliver system are hit and miss for now. Hopefully their targeting and trigger devices are as flawed.
The longer they have for development, the more dangerous they become.
