It's their parent's fault, for not teaching their kids that they're not entitled to have their way every time they crank up their whiny asses. A few good ass whippings when they were young would have prevented this.

It's been a rough week for United Airlines.

That deluge didn't let up on Sunday, when KHOU reported that a couple had been kicked off their United flight as they were headed from Houston to Costa Rica for their wedding.

Michael Hohl and Amber Maxwell had allegedly boarded their flight on Saturday and were about to take their seats when they said they saw a passenger napping across the row they were assigned to.

Hohl said that instead of waking up the man who was sleeping, he and his fiancée decided to sit a few rows in front of their assigned seats.

"We thought not a big deal, it’s not like we are trying to jump up into a first-class seat," Hohl told KHOU, the CBS affiliate in Houston. "We were simply in an economy row a few rows above our economy seat."

Hohl said that after he and Maxwell sat down, a flight attendant asked if they were in their assigned seats. When the couple said no and explained why they had moved, Hohl said the attendant declined their request for an upgrade and asked them to return to their original seats.

Hohl said that although he and Maxwell did as they were told, a US Marshall later boarded the flight and asked them to get off the plane. The couple said they complied with that demand as well, but found the overall experience "strange."

"They said that we were being disorderly and a hazard to the rest of the flight, to the safety of the other customers," Hohl said. "I think customer service and the airlines has gone real downhill. The way United Airlines handled this was really absurd."

United has disputed Hohl's version of events, saying the couple had repeatedly tried to sit in upgraded seats and refused to comply with requests to move back to their assigned seats.

"We're disappointed anytime a customer has an experience that doesn't measure up to their expectations," United said in a statement to KHOU. "These passengers repeatedly attempted to sit in upgraded seating which they did not purchase and they would not follow crew instructions to return to their assigned seats. We've been in touch with them and have rebooked them on flights tomorrow."

United has been engulfed by controversy since a viral video emerged depicting 69-year-old David Dao being violently dragged off a United Airlines flight after refusing to give up his seat to make room for crew members. Dao sustained injuries and plans to file a lawsuit against the airline.

After the incident involving Dao, United enacted a new rule stipulating that crew members will no longer be allowed to displace passengers already on board the plane, the Associated Press reported.

United spokeswoman Maggie Schmerin said in an email to the AP on Sunday that the change is an initial step in a review of policies and it's meant to ensure that situations like Dao's never happen again.

Hey! I just had a strange thought, did United hire Barack Obama to run the airline? They seem to be going downhill fast...

Bride and groom on way to wedding booted off United flight

A bride and groom on their way to Costa Rica for their wedding said Saturday they were kicked off their United flight in Houston after a discrepancy with plane seating.

Michael Hohl and his fiancé, Amber Maxwell, were flying from Salt Lake City and had a layover at George Bush International Airport, KHOU-TV reported. Hohl said they were the last to board the plane and when they approached their seats, in row 24, they found a man sleeping in them.

Hohl said they decided to move up to the 21st row, not waking the man. He told the station they really did not think anything of it because the flight was half-full and had multiple empty rows.

“We thought not a big deal, it’s not like we are trying to jump up into a first-class seat," Hohl told the station. “We were simply in an economy row a few rows above our economy seat.”

An issue quickly arose as soon as Hohl and Maxwell took their seats. A flight attendant approached the pair and asked if they were in their ticketed seats. Row 21 on United flights are “economy plus” seats, an upgrade. The attendant told the pair they had to return to their seats.

Does anyone bother to read the small print when they buy a ticket?

You can get thrown off any plane.

    He should have just walked.

    People are too "entitled" nowadays.

So some redneck on a flight from Dallas on American Airlines deplanes and as he is walking into the airport concourse, he attacks an off duty pilot and goes nuts on the guy citing that he thought that the pilot "took up too much room in the aisle of the plane" he is charged with assault and the entire event was caught on security camera's. He is basically fucked with direct evidence against him.

Airlines and those working for them have been given too much power.
After all they are just buses that fly. Would people give some bus driver the power they willingly give to anyone working for an airline?

Yesterday Shooter posted another incident, this one on American Airlines.
It got deleted because there were kiddies in the video (Shooter keeps tripping on this rule cause, you know, he forgets)
    In any case, American has suspended a flight attendant over it. You can Google it, but here's the synopsis;

Mommy tried to board with a stroller.
The flight attendant tried to gate check it cause, you know, strollers don't fit in crowded bins well.
Mommy freaked; crying, begging, shrieking; we're talking melt down.
Flight attendant looses his cool a bit, and in the process of taking the stroller popped mom with the stroller
This triggered the hero on the flight, a burly fellow who decided a woman's honor had been compromised and that he needed to explain to the flight attendant that an ass kicking was in his future if he didn't behave himself.
Which triggered the flight attendant, who invited the hero to "bring it on".
The pilot was watching the scene from the cockpit door, apparently convinced that the flight attendant had things well in hand.

Shooter wonders; will passengers ever learn, when the flight crew tells you to stand on your head and bark like a dog, the best course is to comply and take it up with headquarters later. Declining to comply will get you beat up and maybe a stay in a TSA room in handcuffs.

Flight attendant is probably out looking for a job right now. He isn't allowed on another flight.

Weird, I looked for this thread on all the back pages and couldn't find it lol.

Oh well one more thread made for someone to bitch about ...

Flight attendants are NOT referee's, judges, jury's, executioners or police and need to get back to helping passengers instead of attacking them ... where was the air marshall during this ??? His job is to seek out terrorists, which the flight attendant turned out to be by terrorizing this passenger !!!

There is definitely something to be said for charters and private flights ...

See, here's the thing about the latest American Airlines snafu.

The passenger tried to bring her stroller on the flight, you know, cause she had twins.
The flight attendant wanted to gate check it because a) strollers take up a lot of space b) There was no room for it.

Things unraveled when the passenger thought the entire flight was about her and her babies. She was convinced that she could not fly without the damn stroller tucked into the baggage compartment right above her seat.

They unraveled more when the flight attendant hit their limit; one more self absorbed passenger thinking what they want Trumps whatever common sense and FAA rules and airline rules dictate. The flight attendant wanted the passenger to sit the fuck down, shut the fuck up, and fasten her seat belt.

Things really unraveled when the hero on the plane got involved. And the pilot didn't.

Bottom line; when the flight crew says gimme the stroller, or get off the plane, or sit down now, the best course is to do that. If you have an issue, take it up with headquarters later. All of the situations reported on media would be non issues if this simple rule was being followed.

Why didn't they stop the woman before she boarded the plane?
Did she have the stroller hidden in her purse?

You are correct but someone should have explained that a bit better and I bet she would have complied....

Most dont know they have a space that they put it and give it or a bag back to you as you leave the plane....

Also the air attendants these days are not very nice anyway for the most part....
Maybe too many hours but even when I try and be nice most seem to be snotty...

People at the gates for the most part are just pushy trying to make deadlines....

Air lines have us over a barrel and they know it and some take advantage of it...

Air travel these day if not first class just sucks....

    ====================

one of my last flights I was given a menu.....

    I ordered a sandwich and a drink.....
she answered we dont have any sandwiches....

    do you have any food....

    no we dont...

me---why did you give me a menu....

her --- you are the only one I ever saw order anything

Well yes, in particular American and US Air have some of the rudest flight crew in the business. They almost without exception exhibit the attitude that passengers are unwashed, rude, panicky, idiots that have no clue the burden flight crew carry just to get them from wherever they are to whatever stupid destination they are headed to. All they want everyone to do is sit the fuck down, buckle your seat belt, and shut the hell up.

That said, it does not negate that when flight crew tell you what to do, you shut up and comply. Fight with headquarters, not the flight crew. Fighting with flight crew never ends well.

And what it really comes down to is that Shooter is convinced that people's IQ drops 10 points when they enter an airport. They still think it's all about them, and everyone else needs to get out of the damn way. Including flight crew; I paid my damn money, so we're going to do this my way, not your way. Now GIVE ME BACK MY DAMN STROLLER!!

When I flew for work I always flew first class until business class came along and I gave in and flew business class. When I travel for pleasure I always fly first class or business class. If I can't fit that level of comfort into my budget, I don't go. What has happened to transportation is deplorable. I watched as they destroyed the comfort in Bus and Train travel. Now air travel is down the shitter and the roads are falling apart, making car travel kind of sucky and most air travel only for "rabbits". We, the consumers, let this happen. We gave in to the companies offering no frills travel and bragged at how we saved money. The corporations simply kept cutting the "frills", such as baggage, room in seating, etc. and we accepted it -- even for short trips -- and remarked at how much money we were saving. We are left with minimal good alternatives because we never DEMANDED appropriate service. As Pogo lamented, "We have met the enemy and he is us."

Mystery as giant rabbit dies on United Airlines flight

THE owner of a giant bunny named Simon has hit out at United Airlines after he tragically died while on a flight to the US.

Simon was destined to surpass his record-breaking father Darius, who is 4ft 4 long, and become the biggest rabbit in the world.

His was tragically cut short after he was found dead when the plane landed at Chicago O'Hare airport.

Owner Annette Edwards has insisted the poor bunny was fine before boarding and is demanding an explanation.

She told The Sun: "Simon had a vet’s check-up three hours before the flight and was fit as a fiddle.

"Something very strange has happened and I want to know what. I’ve sent rabbits all around the world and nothing like this has happened before."

A statement from United said they had launched an investigation into Simon's death.

It read: "We were saddened to hear this news. The safety and well-being of all the animals that travel with us is of the utmost importance to United Airlines and our PetSafe team.

"We have been in contact with our customer and have offered assistance. We are reviewing this matter."

Giant rabbits like Simon cost £5,000 a year to keep, and he was hired out for £500 an appearance.

This news came after shocking footage showed an elderly man being physically dragged down the aisle of a United Airlines.
