Sorry to bump this but I just wanted to clarify something.
People seem to think that I made everything up about baller, and while these things may not be true of me, they are true of somebody. Everything I said about baller was truth, from his life, to the things he could do, who he was, etc. Baller is somebody who I went to HS and CC with for the short time I was there. He grew up in a part of Upper Darby township and moved to Drexel Hill, a few streets away from me actually, when he started high school. I found out his life/story from a friend of mine who is a friend of his. He is every bit the baller I made him out to be. He is the greatest player I have ever seen, pro or otherwise. People say Paul Pierce is the truth but this dude would shit all over Pierce on his worst day. I was there when he fucked up his ankle and it was one of the worst injuries I had ever seen, and I wouldn't be surprised if it cost him his career. Everything I said about him up was true up until the last time I saw him, which was over a year ago, at that same court. I've talked to him on numerous occasions while shooting hoops, and he's always sort of treated me like a younger brother when I was around him, but not in a disrespectful way. We get along but we're more acquaintances than anything. He's basically a much, much better version of me, the guy I and everybody else wish they could be. We have the same first name, similar body build though he is A LOT more athletic than I could ever be, and similar heritages, etc. That's pretty much where the similarities end though. I basically pretended to be him, after, like I said, not being able to handle how much I had fucked up my own life. It's really messed up and pathetic, I know. To say the least.
In other words, there is a real baller16. It just isn't me is all. Now I'm trying to fix my life, to improve myself, as me, not as somebody who I will never be and who for all I know is burned out working a shitty job, knowing the area. I did say a few things that were true of me and not of him though, like my fascination with reading about everything as a kid, my being into extreme sports as a kid, my playing the drums, etc.
He's actually the reason I know so much about basketball and training for it. I tried to train with him once and let's just say that there's a reason we don't play ball and they do.
