Basics steps to post a story on stories.xnxx.com:

- First of all, you must have an account on the forum. To register, click HERE.
- Once your account is created, you can go to stories.xnxx.com.
- If you already have an account, you just have to login to stories.xnxx.com or to the forum (it's the same database).
- Now, there's a new menu at the left called "Account":

- Important note: first, you should write and save your story on your computer (on a txt file or a word file, no matter the text editor you used) before posting it. There's a server timeout. If you spend too much time writing your stories into our system, you will be disconnected from your session, and your story will never be saved. The best solution is to copy/paste your work from the file saved into your computer.

- To post a new story, just click on "New story".

Little explanation about "Characters Count": your story must have at least 5000 characters. For a poem or a sex joke, the "Characters Count" is 500. After few years, we realized that readers generally prefer long stories with many description...

At the bottom of the page, there's a box called "Publishing".
- Publish your story: your story will be online after few minutes, and you won't be able to edit it.
- Continue editing: your story is on "edit mode". When you think your story is ready, you can change it to "Publish your story" to see your work online.

- "Your stories":

On the screen capture below you can see the 3 modes of a story:
- Validated: for an online story. If you click on "View", you can see the story with all comments made on it.
- Edit mode: for a story in edit mode, if you have choosen "Continue editing" from the "New story" page. You can make every modification as you want. When you think your story is ready to be online, you can change this mode by cliking on "Edit" and change the box at the bottom of the page to "Publish your story". You can also delete it if you want.

For every stories listed on this page, you have some statistics like the number of comments, reads and rate...

Little reminder, if you want to:

- edit or delete a story
- add a new genre, theme
- delete a comment on a story
- or anything else
You just have to contact me by PM or email (you can find it HERE)

I mean, one year ago, I mainly joined the forums/site because of stories. What I mean is, one year ago, I registered and it did not work.

Ok, but as you can see, a new version is available since few weeks, you can now post your stories without problem

For submitting a story, can I just copy a Word file and paste in the submissions box. If so, can I use Word Vista or do I need to use Word 97 compatibility.

If not Word, what formats are acceptable?

I think it's ok with word, whatever the version, 97 or vista. You just have to check if there is no special characters like accents or lines break problems after the past in the submission box.

I was wondering, how come accents don't work when posting a story?
Touché becomes touch?(no space then whatever word comes next). Is this a problem that can be fixed or something we just have to deal with?

i think they mean a direct file upload... the same way you would upload a picture? i frequent several sites where stories/text are uploaded and they are all done in relatively the same manner as xnxx, so i wouldnt bother.

I have to say though, I wonder if the categories couldn't be simplified a little bit? Some of them seem to say the same thing. Or like, there's inconsistancy about what should come first...

Boys/Teen Female vs Teen Female/Boy
Female/Girl vs Girls/Female

I notice there's a subtle difference of plurality... is the way it works that it is in alphabetical order, with the exception of if it is plural, the plural word gets listed first? Of course that doesn't work with Teen Male/Teen Females... pretty confusing

Hey, that really kind of sucks since I found the Stories page before I found this thread, meaning I've got about 10 hours worth of work (3 stories) that was apparently lost in cycberspace.

Perhaps you could fix the timeout issue or at least put a warning on the New Story page...

Yeah, I learned that lesson the hard way, too. A way around it would be click "Preview Post" every few paragraphs. That seems to reset the clock.

Or type it on a text document and then copy and paste it to your thread when you're ready to post.

Ok, something else I discovered. I'm intending to work on a story but I can't save it (Don't ask for validation) for editing later if it's less then 5000 characters. Sure a completed story needs to be longer - but sometimes there are interruptions and you have to stop what you're doing.

Yeah, I know I can do this offline but it'd be a nice feature if I could do my development here - like saving less than 5000 characters if I'm not asking for validation.

As it is I just copied what I had and pasted it back in a bunch of times to be able to save...

example: boy/boy, anal, and massage

and then have the search engine come up with either anything that has these or only these

I've PM'd, emailed, reported, done all I can think of to try and get my latest story reset so I can fix a couple errors mostly to do with the theme listing.....Yet no response, nothing for roughly a month.

Should I just resubmit and let the moderators delete the old at their liesure?

New question for the forum (well, new to me, I haven't been here in a while):

Before the stories site was rearranged (this was a while ago now), when submitting a story there were two separate introduction fields. One was called introduction, and perhaps the other one was called summary or something similar. I used to use the introduction field just to put a "(C) {year} Chagrin Riddle" and would use the summary box for preface text to warn the reader if they may be reading potentially offensive content.

The summary box has since disappeared, and not only that, but the summaries of previously published stories have disappeared, so a new reader is no longer warned of potentially offensive material on my stories in particular. If anything, my stance on copyright has changed over the years, so I would rather have had the summary text stay and the introduction text go away, if I had to choose.

Well, so far none of that is a question, so here's the actual question:

Why was the summary field (or whatever it was called) gotten rid of on the stories site, but the introduction field kept?

I too am in favour of seeing a tag combiner, as in the movie and picture sites, to narrow the field of storeis to preference. Other than that, I love this site!! Keep it up

About 3/4 days...
But there's no story related to your account in the database. Did you try to post something ?

Hmm.. yeah.. 4 stories in a series.. they show up when I sign on in the stories section of the site, but only under "my stories". But it hasnt' been that long yet.

Ok, I just found them, they are still in "edit" mode. To see them online, you must change the menu at the bottom of each story page (from your admin area) and select "Ask for a validation".
