First, this isn't a slam thread against women. Far from it. Just would like to get a little perspective.

Some women or most women or perhaps all women do not want to be treated like sex objects. Ok, fair enough.

But, then, what's with wearing a low cut blouse? If it were cut slightly more conservative, and did not show the tops of your breasts, guys would look you in the eyes more often. What's with wearing a shirt with no bra when you are pretty sure that your nipples will harden and draw our attention?

Let's talk about tight jeans or shorts that appear as if they have been spray painted on and leave no doubt as to the contours of your vulva? Or skirts or dresses that are so short that if you catch the slightest breeze or have to bend half an inch I'm going to know whether the carpet matches the drapes?

Do you do it on purpose to attract attention? Is it typically the attention of one guy, or are you advertising to the world that you would like guys to make conversation? Are there other legit reasons?

I think like most men, women want to feel good. Some do this to catch a glimpse of attraction in a mans eye. The feedback from men will make SOME women feel good.

I tolerate the back pain that comes with having big breasts. If I like a little cleavage in a top, I should be allowed to wear it.

I think most women don't mind men looking - same as most men don't mind women looking. But if women took to staring at guys crotches while we were having conversations things would get awkward.

There has always been a line in the sand. If a woman dresses provocatively and goes into a tough bar down by the docks, one would expect that she's going to hear crude comments and get hit on. PS - there is one other reason some women dress the way they do. These women are either desperate and/ or insecure. They will "sell themselves" to get into a relationship or keep their current, and so they dress to catch the most men's attention with the hopes of finding one guy that will stay.

So rather than focus on something I'll never understand, I thought I'd ask something more focused and direct. And, I appreciate the feedback, ladies. And by all means, keep wearing the "interesting" clothing. For guys at my stage of life, it's what dreams are made of.

I don't believe this and neither should you. The key to as you put it "understanding women" is to realize we're all different. Some women like being taken care of, some prefer to do the caring.

What you need to do is find the woman that you like then figure out (or just ask in some cases) what will make you happiest. I am the care for others, not really emotional, like jewelry and cheesy art projects (from my kids), not a lot of "I love you" saying, but please empty the dishwasher to help me out..... I've never met you, barely spoken to you, but I've read enough of your work to know that you are smart, articulate, with a flair for English. Some women are sweet and lovely, some are cunts. Same applies to men. People are prone not to valuing what they have.
