Default Research question.

Anyone know a good (non-fiction) book on the French Revolution? I'm not that interested in a chronicle of the big and important events, I'm already pretty familiar with that, more something that elaborates what it was like living in revolutionary Paris at the height of the Terror, so that I can have some idea what characters in a story set in that period might be going through.

Black Ronin - look up the series called "Diaries of the French Revolution" on Amazon by Governor Morris. I have been refered to in my own studies of history to these books; they are (I believe) a six volume hardbound series with the details taken from diaries of ordinary people of that time.

Mind you I have not checked them out first hand by ownership; just that they have been referenced.

Black Robin - forgot to add; you can specify on the search matrix of Amazon for 'non fiction' books and specify the search for 'books'. You may have to do some digging yet it should give you an idea of titles to look at or pursue at a local library or purchace.
