I think it must depend on the individual. Different people like making love in different ways and the fucking and making love arent mutually exclusive terms. But it is probaby guided largely by your feelings towards the person.

For me it is always making love, whether it is a quick one, cloths on panties pulled to one side, or if it is a long loving 5 course gourmet meal kind of sex and mostly I would consider it a good fuck which ever of the two we had done ( well back in ancient history when I was able to to those sorts of things anyway )

When you say "making love" and a "good fuck", the terms need to be defined a bit more.

About a half dozen of the women I have been with loved to be "made love" to once in a while WITHOUT a "good fuck"; a couple could never care less about being "made love to", all they wanted was a "good fuck" all the time.

The great majority liked the two in various combinations, if I am reading you at all correctly.

I guess the definition of either completely relies on what both partners agree upon and enjoy in doing together. Single-sided concepts never worked for me.
