This is a community of respect, believe it or not. I have no idea if you've ever tried to do any creative writing -- a short story, a poem, song lyrics -- but it's harder to do than some people think. Everyone who does write knows that it can actually be work.

Maybe you, Joe, have a hobby or an interest -- fishing, or nature photography, for instance. Whatever it is, you do it enough that you understand how difficult it is to do it well, but how rewarding it is when you do. You would be offended if someone shouted insults at you for what you do, the way you do it, or the end result of your efforts, wouldn't you? It's the same thing with writing.

No one likes everything they see here. Some of it is poorly written. Some of it deals with subject matter that isn't to everyone's liking. You're not really a reader anyway, you claim. So here's a suggestion: fuck off.

I agree 100% with this. This is what I was talking about. Joe is one of those people who wont read anything here because it's not his focus. His main reason for posting threads is to get reactions from us. He gets off on having people react to his words.

Joe is one of those sad people who's about 40 years old living in his mother's basement and has no friends or social outlets so he sits on his computer and starts shit trying to get a reaction, he probably can't get excited without pissing people off.

We really need to stop playing into his fun zone and just ignore his continued ignorence and move on. Only by ignoring his repeated attempts at attention can we actually get him to go away.

If you read my post again, you'll notice that I specifically stated that I disagree with ELP. But whether his accusation is true or not (it's not), you're the one who originally brought your nieces and nephews into the conversation, not him.
