Finally, another chance to go out! Tried a different mall this time to get out of my comfort zone. The trip was pretty uneventful, which I guess is a good thing. I've been told that kids don't know they aren't supposed to react when they see something unusual, so they don't hesitate to stare or say something to their parents. Taking some of the advice I've gotten here, I even bought a longer skirt so I would "blend in" a little better. Unfortunately, when I got home and tried it on, I don't like it very much; for whatever reason, I think I look more like a crossdresser in the knee-length skirt than I do in the mini. Maybe i just need to find a better top to pair it with--yet another fashion issue I never had to deal with as a man.

FWIW, I still haven't been hit on (other than the 37 guys from this board who have done so), but the more I build up my confidence with these shopping trips, the more I'm convinced that it's only a matter of time. I know I'm not beautiful, but I know there are men out there whose eyes won't make it above my shoulders anyhow. Just a little positive reinforcement in the other stores. At Old Navy, I had "normal" interactions with a couple of female clerks who offered to help me. Then, a male clerk came up from behind me and also offered to help. I was so suprised that all I could do was smile and tell him I was OK. As he walked away, I realized that he had actually walked halfway across the store from the men's department to make the offer and probably had no idea what clothes were in the women's department. Let's breakdown your fears then you can prepare for the possible scenarios.

I don't know how to prepare for this in a private setting, but since you are, at least I think, staying in well lit, well populated areas it shouldn't be an issue. Hey, I didn't say I was going to stop, just that I feel like I need to slow down and get myself under control. Not really. I'm still new at this and "testing the waters", so, right now, the only thing I'm hoping to achieve is having guys see me as a (hopefully, sexy) woman. If a guy hits on me because he's into CD's, then I'm not achieving that goal. I guess I'm sort of in the "teasing" stage--like a teenage girl who's just learning the effect her new equipment has on guys. You're lucky to have gotten so far. For me, being TG has never been any fun given that I'm completely closeted and don't know when or if I'll ever come out or make a change in my life.

I don't know that i'm exactly "coming out"--all of my exposure has been a safe distance from home so that I'm not outed. It took years of dressing up at home to build up enough courage to go outside the first time (which was basically driving my car around the block late at night), and another couple of years to take the step of actually letting anyone see me in a skirt. All I can tell you is that it's an amazing feeling to walk through a store and actually have people see you as a woman. I'll probably never be "out" completely because (as I said above somewhere) that wouldn't go over well professionally (and probably not with family members either). But, even if all I ever do is the occasional shopping trip, it's still worth the effort. Life's too short to not have some fun, so go for it.

Yeah--one of the events was a family wedding, where I spent most of the time sitting in my suit and tie watching one of the guests who had on a really short mini (almost as short as one of mine ) and spike heels. I know every other guy there was thinking about how nice it would be to get her out of her skirt while I was sitting there thinking how nice it would be to be in her skirt.

To answer the first part of your question.(Have you had sex with women in the past?) I raised 9 children, 5 boys and 4 girls. One girl was the offspring between the union with my mother and my first born who lives with me as my mate.


Your second question If you were to pick a labeling (say you had to), what would you ideally classify yourself as? Only men, only women, mostly men, mostly women, men with the very occasional woman, ) I guess if I had to pick one then I would have to pick women with the very occasional man.
