If it has ages, and one is below 13, I leave it be. If one of the characters mentioned first is 13 or older, I scan to see the age of the partner, if it's a coming of age story, with two kids the same age, that's fine. 2: Literary Entertainment
I enjoy a good story, with great writing that contains characters that you can really like and feel emotions for, to the point that they are almost real in your mind and you're interested in knowing how they end up. There are many writers that I follow here for that reason.

3: Can't look away from a train wreck
We've all seen these stories. The one's so bad that you just can't help but watch as people attack the author with "You suck" Comments. They can have many, many problems, from a bad plot, while using the phrase "True story" Badly written characters, or just start with the over used discription "I'm 15, with a 11 in dick...." You get the idea. I can't help but read the comments on stories like that.

Not because I'm some sick monster who uses this as a crutch to help my fetish. But because I like a good story (Or train wreck) so I read what I like, but that doesn't make me what ever I am reading about. It makes me a person who can read.

I want to know one thing. Why do you keep referring to children who are the age of 8? Almost all of your arguments contain that for an example age. Other people have mentioned other ages, yet you go back there? Why?

What state was this? Many states tend to side with the Woman when custody comes up, Michigan is one. I know of just one man who managed to win the custody fight, just because his ex kept having him take care of the kids while they were separated and he recorded it for the courts, so they realized that he had taken care of them more then she had. He also had proof that she was lacking in taking care of the kids with the money he sent to her for child support.

Also Custody battles can be very dirty and many people, both man and women will pull out all the tricks to win custody of their children, even fighting dirty and framing the other parent for a crime they didn't commit. Why? Because if you walk into a court for a divorce and custody and there is a charge of child porn, abuse, or any other bad behavior, on one of the parents, the judge would be risking his career to find for the parent with that charge, even if the charge was false and the evidence was planted.

Why do you think a lot of people use the "I was abused" argument in a divorce. Now I'm not saying that everyone who uses that is lying, but I have known many woman who have never been beat once in their lives that will call a cop, say they were beaten and raped by their partner, then file for a divorce while the spouse sits in jail so they can run off with the boyfriend that they were hiding all along. How do I know this? She admitted to it later. She ruined someones life, just to win custody of children that she could care less about.

I'd rather not say what state. I've only publicized here that I live in the southern USA...and I don't want to start getting any more specific lest my anonymity is in some way compromised. First of all, good call. I know not many marriages work and I always congratulate those who never get married. I was married for 10 years, that was 19 years ago this October.

Secondly, I've seen some rough divorces in my time. Mine was easy. No children and She owned property, so when I told her I wanted a divorce, and I didn't want her stuff, she agreed and signed off on it. I just wanted out. But I had a cousin who was almost put through the wringer. His first ex-wife really stuck it to him and was trying to get as much as she could from the divorce. Till it came out that she was sleeping with three of his friends. At the same time. She backed off really damn quick.

If someone writing sex stories about kids was actually out in the world doing that stuff to kinds, I don't think stopping them from writing the story is going to change what they're doing IRL, and that's the only reason to try to stop these kinds of stories.

But at the end of the day, writing a story that involves pedophilia may make you a pedophile, but it doesn't mean you're hurt anyone if your urges are limited to stories, not your personal life. If there are any real pedophiles here, which I have no doubt there are, what exactly are you accomplishing by trying to put a spotlight on them if you only know what they write, not what they do?

I would agree with you for the most part. What some people forget is that everyone has something that gets their motor running, and it isn't allways something widely accepted by everyone else.

I do include Joe in this statement as well. I know he will argue with me but not everyone is turned on by LEGAL girls who look like they are 11 years old like in the pictures he links to.
