Fair point, my choice of words can be a lttle harsh sometimes.

I do think that men would be looking for warning signs from this type of woman.

Obviously when you get to this age you should be established in your life and with that comes a dislike of change.

When I have dated women in their 30s they seem to think that they can change the way I live, this is not happening as I really like my life and don't need anyone to tell me that I should do my washing once a week instead of every night.

I think many men would much rather go for a younger/self absorbed girl for a fling, and maybe it's ego and/or social assumptions based on status that drive these men to pursue a less mature woman. However, it's a very bold generalization to say that men aren't really nice guys. Obviously people aren't nice regarding every facet of their lives, but I think there are a lot of nice guys out there that just can't catch a break.

Granted, I'm no saint myself, but generally speaking I am a "nice guy." I've addressed girls my own age as well as older women, I've appeared at clubs as well as parks, and I've conversed with a myriad of differing women despite my inclination towards shyness. I am not insulting nor hideous and women often say I'm a sweet guy who is fun to be around. Through all of this I have yet to have any luck with the opposite sex, whether that be for a relationship or a fling.

Maybe it's because the right combination of actions haven't occurred yet for me to successfully be with a woman. Maybe there is a decreasing number of nice guys when most of what we see are assholes and douchebags getting both the self absorbed girls and the faithful women, enticing guys to act the same. But trust me when I say there are nice guys out there, we're just tougher to notice.

Thanks for all the input. I have come to realize what flaws I have and that all that can really be done is for me to adjust who I am and hope I find someone.
