Skin bridge piercing question

Hi folks, i have a very, very, personal question, and i didn't really know where to go to ask it. Here goes:

I was circumcised when i was born, and it was slightly botched. It only recently came to my attention that it was botched, when i discovered i have what is called a skin bridge, which is a tiny piece of skin connecting my shaft and head, leaving a small hole, like a piercing.

Here is my question. I've heard that some people use it like an actual piercing, putting barbell studs in it. I was thinking of trying this, as sort of a curiosity. But I was wondering bout the longer term effects. Could I have sex with it in? would it stretch out? could the bridge break?

If someone has experience with skin bridges or dick piercings, or both, could you offer your advice? I don't want to do something stupid that could wreck my dick skin or disfigure it.

I did a quick google search for "skin bridges", because I had never heard that term..... There were quite a few sites listed and one that was exactly skin bridge-piercing.

Having said that.... Are you contemplating this for aesthetic reasons, the skin pulls during sex, you like sexual piercings in general or some other reason? I'd figure out the reasoning behind your thoughts before doing anything.

well, i never really thought about it beyond "hey, free piercing" It's just something i wanted to try. to see if the pros out weighed the cons. But yeah, i guess aesthetic reasons would be it. I've never had a piercing, anywhere. not even ears.

Wow, I've had a skin bridge all my life and never knew what to call it. I knew when I was 6 yrs old that my circumcision was botched. My mom took me to the Dr and he said the only way to fix it is to recircimsize...and I said LIKE HELL, no one is going near my cock with a knife. So I have just lived with it...never even dreamt of putting a piercing accessory through it. Occasionally I contemplated cutting it out myself though. For some reason I trust myself more than a Dr. with a knife. The only piercing I have ever had was in my hand when I shot myself with a nailgun.

It's strange, until about three weeks ago, when i actually looked into it, i didn't know what to call it either. I was looking up things like "skin connecting head and shaft" and then i just thought.... it's skin...that forms a bridge over a gap....i think i'll look that up. lo and behold, pages devoted to discussing botched circumcisions. it hadn't occurred to me that people used it like a piercing hole. so i thought i might try it out, if only to freak out my friends should they see it, i'm big on that. Fer instance, i'm double jointed, so i love to wrap my arm (all the way) around my head and ask people for high fives, just to see their reactions.
I just thought i'd see if anyone had experience with that in this forum.

Well, my bridge is at like say a 2 o clock position, so I think a bar stud or whatever would look ri-dick-ulous...if yours is perfectly centered on top or bottom, then it may not be so bad...though I'm not big on piercings anywhere, much less on my dick...and I think if you wanted the piercing to be functional during sex, I think it would pull and rip and tear and be totally uncomfortable. If you want it only for aesthetics, then I don't see an issue with it.

Hmm, you gave me another idea as well. I always had this thought of "crucifying" some of the lazy punk ass teenagers I had working for me...Giving them a prince albert with a 16d nail seems appealing to me to me as well...Maybe that woulda gotten their little asses to actually work instead of crying how sore and tired they were

Check with bod mod folks to get their thoughts as to how well the skin would hold up. A torn bridge can't look too good. That said, some of the lads on the page linked to have hardware in there, so it may be worth a shot.
