Any motorcyclists on the forum? If so, I'll start off a topic.. Cruisers v. Sportbikes v. Harley Davidson. I classify Harley's under a different category because if you ask people that ride them.. they often place their selves in a different category. Thoughts?

In 1966 on my 14th birth day my father gave me this 1938 Indian Asc with a henderson 4. Ten years ago I restored it.

I am going to piss off some Harrly riders as I wouldn't insult my balls by putting a Harly between my legs. As old as this bike is, it will still blow the most bikes on the road.

ducktail (dragger) rear fender
front wheel 16x 6.25 with same fender as rear

no starter no battery

I have a few bikes, 2 Harleys, 1 Kawasaki Vulcan 600 (heavily customized into a chopper) and a Suzuki dirt bike. These are ATV's but I have Honda 300 rancher,Honda 400 recon and a Honda 400 forman.

I have been riding since I was about 14 when I jacked my dads bike (just because my feet could touch the ground, which is when my dad said he would start teaching me). I am now 40. My first bike was a 1983 Kawasaki LTD440. My second was a 1983 Honda CX650 Custom, which I gave to my wife. My next bike was a 1978 Kawasaki LTD1000. Then I got a 2005 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Silverado with 15" apes on it (which happens to be the best bike I have ever had). Now I have a 1991 Harley Davidson FLHTC (Electra Glide Classic). This is not the best bike I have had, but by far my favorite. I am a patch holder with an MC, and as I have sown have many years experience.

My wife also rides her own bike. She has had my 1983 Honda CX650 Custom that I gave her and she learned to ride all by herself & she even rebuilt the carbs & relined the fuel tank. Then she got a 2007 Honda Shadow 750. She traded that in & got a 2008 VTX1300. Due to the width of the bike & her having neuro issues, she had to get rid of it. Now she has not 1, but 2 bikes. She has a 2000 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 custom, bobbed out. She also has a 2006 Harley Davidson XL1200 (Sportster).

So I guess it goes with out saying that cruisers are our preference over crotch rockets. But just because we do own Harleys, we do not look down on those who metrics. For us, it became a matter of buying something more American made.

Glad this thread got some replies. I just got a 1994 Shadow VT1100C (my fourth bike) and love it to death. Great ride I must say. Rare 4 speed model with black/white paint with red striping. Let's see some of your rides fella's! I'll try to figure out how to post mine

I'm not gonna post picks of my bike but one of my Harleys looks like the one Natureboy posted except I re-painted mine lime green and replaced the shinny chrome with black chrome.
