Just a few I wrote I will post to see what you guys think. These aren't sexual ones I haven't worked on those Yet, I may depending on the feed back I get from these few.

The Devil's Promise


I am a monument to your sins
I am a wraith in the vast darkness
The faceless grand puppet master
I am Death Incarnate\


Since the dawn of time I've kept watch
Mankind the greatest plague to exist
Leaving Destruction, and corruption in record time
You may curse me, but know your God loosed this plague


I revel in your downfall
Each life forcibly taken,
Slowly pushes you closer to the black abyss
You have powered the engine of your own destruction


I am fueled by the wicked and powered by the damned
Your pain and sorrow, anguish and despair
All of these are but a sweet song to me
And I desire a cacophony of sound


Patiently I bide my time, waiting for the right time
The horrors I will unleash will be unimaginable
I will give shape to your worst nightmares
Your Demons will rise to haunt you


God will be powerless to help you
Your souls are forfeit
Your world is now my dark empire
You will convert to me or live forever in agony


The cold shadow of death approaches
The four horsemen are drawing NIH
Although I have gone by many names
What ever you may call me, I have returned for you all

Souls 2 Sides



The human soul is a battlefield unto itself
Both desires struggling for power
Tearing the fabric of our being back and forth
Splitting our soul into two rival nations


One part of us is an angel of mercy
Defending our friends and family
watching over the poor and unfortunate
Selflessly giving ourselves to a greater cause
A white radiant light shines from within us
Illuminating the darkness in the world


The other is a Dark Malignant shadow
Living for oneself, off the struggle of others
Corrupting the souls of your fellow man
Stretching a dark hand from the depths
Eclipsing the light, and extending the real of darkness
Living off pain and suffering, reveling in death


It is in this struggle we must choose
One will assimilate the other
which will we decide?
Can we change fate

Can we?

We are warriors my son
As eternal as the sun
As everlasting as the moon
and as constant as the waves


We aren't at home until the war drums pound
The sound that calls us towards death's door
We Fight not for wealth or Gain
We fight for the Our honor, our family's honor


Remember these words my son
When battle is fever pitched
and you must call upon the last of your strength
Fill your sword not with untempered rage of a demon
but with the righteous justice that defines a samurai


In my parting words to you son
when your blood stains the earth a crimson river
and you stand upon death's door and feel the frozen embrace
Take up your sword and banner my son
for myself and your ancestors will be waiting.

Eyes


The eyes are the gateway to the soul they say
Like bottomless pools of radiant gems
Sapphires, Emeralds, Amethysts, Garnets
Shining with the intensity of a thousand suns
Gaze into their light, anything else pale in comparison

They can love you with all that they are
or can strike terror in your heart
They area many splendor ed wonder

Call to Arms




Humans, what wretched creatures we are
We are beings of desire and blind faith
No creature could match the destruction we have wrought
Our society is where the wicked laugh and the poor suffer


Our leaders advise in their own interests
They are the greatest thieves
Lining their pockets with stolen money
Protecting the status quo like a precious gem
Casting swift judgment on any opposition


The very fabric of society is coming undone,
But for the blind it is a just another news story
For the aware it is a sad truth of a losing battle
It is become all too common to accept fate.
This cannot be allowed to happen


My brothers and sisters hear me
When a government ceases to work in your interests
and puts on this grand charade that we are puppets of
One solution becomes clear


Once your various deities and government fails
what course do we have left?


Our cause is greater than race, creed, country, or wealth
The world must band together to stop our descent
No matter what we must bring the world back from the brink
Open your eyes to the state of your world.


This is a call to arms for all
I will not let my world slip into chaos
We have to correct the course we are on
By any means necessary.....

Here is the first of a 3 poem set that is meant to run together. Also Any Critique's you have are appreciated.



When the Clash Of Swords Echo


As the clash of swords echo
And the conflict swells with rage
The once lush earth,green with life
Will be bloodied and turned to ash


The sin of men will be great
Sword, shield, ax, and bow
Will tear the world asunder
Shaped into a living hell


With blood lust eyes and greedy hearts
Men will battle with drawn steel
Staining the earth with a crimson river
Fueling the dark fire that resides within


Like demons and fallen angels
Their bodies like empty husks
Souls lost in death's embrace
Forever doomed in torment and agony


Each time a life is extinguished
The dark fire within expands and consumes
Becoming a raging inferno
Feeding on the souls corruption


The crimson sky mirrors the bloodshed below
As if nature itself looks away in horror
Dark deeds and darker intentions
Warps the earth in a black malignant shroud


As demons fall into eternal rest
A peaceful quiet falls upon the battlefield
A blood soaked flag is raised signaling victory
Glimmers of sunlight pierces the shroud


Although the day was won
The earth cries over the remains of the dead
Aware that crimson will stain the earth again
When the clash of swords echo.

Drums of War



As the war drums grew silent
And the travail of ages pass
Once great battlefields grew emerald once more
Old foes die, new adversaries arise


A Life is extinguished by a silent shadow
Awakens the forge once more
Cherry red fire burns with righteous anger
Molten steel glowing with rage


Pounding of metal pierces the silence
A cacophony of hoof beats gives way to a crowd
Young knights eager to test their valor
Veterans begin to relive their past in the present
Aware of the blood to come


A sudden noise stings the crowd
War drums pulse with mourning and hatred
Awakening the demons of war a second time


Forests once more void of life
The coming storm grows and rises
Thunder decorates the sky


Once more the darkness stirs
Ready to eclipse the earth once more

I Was there



I was there the old man said


I have bore witness to a king’s greed
Heard the looming dogs of war
Wept at the royal funeral pyre
Saw the fury of a prince


I was there the old man said


I have seen army’s of many led by the few
Their country's colors seem heavier than chains
I have seen some eager to draw blood
While others seem like the gallows await


I was there the old man said


I have heard trumpets blare and men charge
Drawn swords and fearful faces
A wall of shields and spears await them


I was there the old man said


I have seen hail of arrows that block out the sun
Rain death and destruction from above
Rending flesh from bone and decorating the many corpses


I was there the old man said


I have seen fathers weep for dead sons
Grown men cry for dead mothers
Horses butchered like cattle
Blood that flows like a river


I was there the old man said


I have seen a few brave men
Turn back a horde of others
Kings that survey a battlefield
The death of thousands stain their hands crimson
They dare claim the day a victory

I'm impressed man! One of my father's talents I haven't inherited is writing poems. It's obvious that you have such a talent. Have you ever considered to contact a publishing house? Even though one must be aware that poetry doesn't sell big numbers of copies it's still worth a try. Kudos!

Not necessarily like Eyes, just a bit more cheerful; not so much about war and death and destruction. That's just me though, at my age I've seen about all that I care for. Go ahead and write about what interests you, what you're good at, and what you enjoy; that's really what makes them good, that they are about something that interests you, the writer.

Ok, I am working on a few happier ones, but I find it hard write happy without making it too cliche....but i have a few in progress i will post when they are done.

Here is a quick one i did in about a half hour.



An Angel



I have seen an angel this day
I gazed upon the northern star
Praying to see my heartache ended
Wishing for her to make herself known


Then a light as bright as a thousands suns
It's radiance was intoxicating, euphoric
I basked in this light and like a drug I craved it ever more
never wanting to leave, never wanting it to end


Then my beauty appeared. And reached for me
Like the gentle caress of a lover she calls
Her voice as pure as a goddess
Her eyes could pierce the shroud of Hell its self


I have seen an angel this day
and I wait for her return.....

I second Free Thinker's assessment, at the moment I'm not in the mood for gloom. I prefer more uplifting subject matter in general. But you are talented; I have never been able to write poetry and admire those who do.

Here is one I finally got worded the way I wanted....Comment and Rate

Purest Expression




Battle is the purest form of expression
Only when engaged in conflict do we show our true selves
Survival is the key ,For you to win someone must loose
To live someone must die this is the nature of the world


When your mind shuts off and instinct takes over
That is when expression in its rawest form
Going at what is in front of you and holding nothing back
That is true beauty, Your inner soul revealed, brought to light


When you clash against your adversary and look into it's eyes
You see past his masquerade you see his emotions nothing more
Be it anger, hate, love, passion, it all rises to the surface and boils over
In that small time frame the inner soul is revealed, for that spit second all is clear




Battle is the purest form of expression

About three-quarters of them read like metal lyrics.

Keep up the good work (although I'm not crazy about the 'poems by request' idea---the best poems are very personal, not made to order...)

Dark yet entertaining. I find myself imagining Gladiator's conversing with Medieval Knight's and Jedi Master's to find there stores are much the same weather past or future. I also agree with some of the older members for the same reasons they state. These poems are more aligned with the thinking of my youth.

I can relate to wanting topic ideas from the readers. While I write for myself, without someone to read it there would be little point to the effort. Most of my writings are on recovery sites for drug and alcohol abuse and must come from direct experience in order to help anyone. I have written on topics that were suggested by someone else but until I was ready to write the subject it simply did not work. Just write what's on your mind, for every story I have completed at least 10 have gone to the recycle bin, never seen by anyone.

Very good point I will keep in mind, I have a few that I am still working on a few more i like to keep messing with them until I get the wording Just right.

No, honestly I have never thought about it. Most are about battles and stuff so I can see it somewhat.
