Well, I would advise against losing your temper (to the moderators) enough to test getting banned. Just relax, count to one-hundred, and let things settle down by themselves. Show that you're above it all and be calm, cool and collected. Hard feelings never solve anything.

I tried my request on the forum, as well as request to both nophest and LemarkXxX. Others have also requested responses - but nothing. If anyone thinks they're going to get banned, I think they're wrong. Nothing has been done to those that promoted other sites. Nothing has been done to those breaking other rules.

I have heard nothing. By tomorrow night, my feelings about the lack of response will be very well known.

And by the way - I love Chunky and piggit and they have always helped when they can. They have nothing to do with the Sex Stories Site.

I find it very discouraging that my story rapidly sank into obscurity in less than 24 hours thanks to four negative votes in the space of half an hour. Will it stop me writing or posting? No - I prefer posting on the forum as it surfaces now and again thanks to being able to 'advertise' my work in my sig. I will still post on the other story site for those who prefer to read there, and for the fact that it can be all together and is available when searching for different genre, etc.

I wish we could see all the voters names. SeeminglySatisfied and I have compared a couple of names that keep appearing as negative votes. It's funny that those readers each vote negative on the same day.

I said this before and I repeat. Logged in votes count as 4 votes while an anonymous vote counts as 5% of a logged in vote. It was all a part of the changes done to the stories site. So those of you receiving 4 votes on one day can do one of two things:

1. Add up the number of logged in voters and multiply that number by 4. It should equal the amount of votes.

2. If you have anonymous votes enabled do the same process as #1 but of course your % rating will reflect anonymous votes as a .05 %.

Ex: 4 people vote on a story. The first 3 give it a positive rating; 100+100+100=300% rating

Someone comes along logged in and votes negatively. 300 div. 4 = 75%. So your score would then be 75% because of that 1 negative vote. Your story would end up on page 4 and nothing would be heard of it.

OR

3 positive votes that are anonymous + 1 logged in vote that is negative = Your story would get a rating somewhere around 20% or so. Anonymous votes count for crap.

So, we are all better off posting both places and linking people to the story site. Worst case scenario people find your stories through here as was originally intended and give them a decent rating trolls be damned.

4 voters plus each counts as 4 votes separately = 16 votes. So multiply.
At least that is how it adds up on my stories. I get 4 voters logged in and I see 16 votes register. They aren't anonymous voters permitted so....

I just go to where I left off and begin writing, even though it's not up to the standard I want. Then things seem to improve (once I'm past the part that blocked me) and I can go back later and work on what I had written and bring it all up to standard. It seems to work for me.

I love tea (with milk and sugar) and drink it all the time. I'm afraid, as an American, I use a teabag (Lipton orange peakoe only) and make it by the cup. But my grandmother, from Scotland, taught me many years ago to boil the water and rince the pot and add loose tea and pour in the water and then put the milk and the sugar in the cup first and then add the boiling water.

Pity the poor tea drinker over here who goes to a restaurant and orders tea after dinner and gets a metal pot with hot water from the tap and some off brand tea bag that's already wet (from something) and then you poor your tepid water over the bag and foam forms on the top and there's only a plastic container of warm half n half to add and, when you ask for more tea, you just get more tepid tap water.

I've been very lucky that my local market now carries PG Tips from England. Once you taste that, you'll never go back to Lipton.

Hi again.

I am always happy to oblige a ban if one is unable to prevent themselves from returning without creating a new identity.

HOWEVER, merely banning you will not accomplish your ultimate desire. When banned, you become banned but your identity does not disappear; your stories will not disappear. You simply become unable to log in as that identity. After that point, it cannot be proved 100% that anyone making a request to delete stories (etc.) is the author and the request will likely be less considered.

I'm sorry that you're feeling abandoned ... and that others are feeling abandoned. Nophest does visit occasionally and I'm fairly sure he'll take note of the messages we've left for him.

There are some patterns here and they aren't the footprints of trolls.

A number of authors have commented how negatives often come in batches of 4 and I've seen this also.
If anyone cares to watch the top rated of all time (and probably no-one will care to) you'll see that the % of the top rated stories stay the same for a few days the ALL go down by roughly the same amount at the same time.

I've commented before how sometimes negative votes get deleted sometimes and other times not included in the calculations.

So, when we get sent to the backwater of the dreaded unread and unloved by a series of negative votes, it may not be the trolls at play. Might be xnxx having some fun.

Yes. Fixed it for you MT Batches of 4 because each logged in vote counts as 4.

In essence you are correct about the logged in votes. Unlogged count as 5% of a logged in vote. i.e. Logged in vote=100% Unlogged vote=5% or .05% of 100%.

Now if your negative votes come on some odd number it is more likely a few unlogged voters voting negative on your story, thus the wrongly tallied total But I don't know much more than that because it isn't my system to study and examine so closely. I do wish the negative vote option would be eliminated entirely.

That's funny because part of the reason I allow comments is that the trolls crack me up.
There are few things in this world more amusing to me than a rage typing idiot.
Plus the fact is that the positive comments far outnumber the negative ones, and I LOVE those.
I recently got a comment where the person said that not only was my story hot, but that it made them laugh out loud, and then proceeded to quote a line that I threw in to be funny.
That kind of shit is priceless.
I mean when they not only get aroused, but also get your humor, and then tell you about it, to me that is totally worth putting up with the trolling.
