I knew a Family who lived 2 houses from ours when I was growing up. The brother had got his sister pregnant. The sister did not tell who the father was. The brother joined the army as WW2 was starting. The girl married but the mother raised the kid and he was legally blind. 40 years later they finally told their mother after their father had died who was the father.
