I am curious about the actual incidence of incest in the United States and elsewhere. I have known only one person who even claimed having sex with a close relative, and I think he was lying.

I would like to hear from people who have had (1) first hand experience with incest or (2) have heard secondhand reliable reports of a relative, friend or acquaintance who has had incestuous sex. I am especially interested in answers to these questions:

A. What is your gender? Nationality? Race? At what age did you begin an incestuous relationship? How long did it last? How frequently did you have incestuous sex?

B. Who was the relative with whom you had an incestuous relationship? In what sexual acts did you engage (including masturbation -- either self-masturbation or mutual masturbation)?

C. Was the incestuous sex consensual or coerced (including forcible rape)?
On a 1-to-10 scale, with 1 indicating "totally consensual" (no hesitation on the part of either participant) and 10 indicating "totally coerced or forced" (one participant absolutely did not want to engage in sex), how would you rate the level of consensualality in the intitial sex act? Which party objected, and in what way? Did the attitudes of either participant to consent change over time?

D. Was the incestuous relationship known to anyone other than the participants? If so, to whom, and what was his/her reaction?

E. How would you describe the consequences of the incestuous relationship? How long did it last? Did either participant suffer ill effects from the relationship -- physical, emotional, legal? Were there any positive effects from the relationship?

F. Any other comments you'd care to make regarding your experience or knowledge re: incest.

I'm intending to use this info for a book on the subject, so please -- no fantasies, lies, etc. Please post only information about actual, real life incestuous relationships.

These acts also could include kissing, "necking," display of body or body parts by one or both participants, intimate touching or other actions short of sexual intercourse or masturbation to climax. And this question applies to both homosexual and heterosexual incest.

ALSO: Please report instances where you were attracted to a close relative (parent, grandparent, sister or brother, aunt, uncle, first cousin or other close cousin -- including step-relatives and "half" relatives) but did not act on a strong impulse to have sex with him or her. Did you ever discuss the possibility with him or her? If so, what was the reaction?

ALSO: Have you ever engaged in incest roleplay with a non-related sexual partner? Please describe the circumstances. How willing was your partner to engage in such roleplay? Was it enjoyed by both? What were the consequences, short-term and long-term, for your relationship with this partner?

To clarify -- was the incestuous relationship your first sexual relationship? If so, how did affect subsequent intimate relationships, including non-sexual friendships or romances? Did you have other non-related sexual partners during the course of the incestuous relationship?

If your incestuous relationship was with your son/daughter, niece/nephew, or other younger relative, how did it affect their attitude(s) about sex, relationships, and/or marriage?
