I love Dairy Queen. There used to be a Dairy Queen here in town, but it closed down and went out by the interstate. I've only been there once though...the place was FILTHY and I haven't been back!!!

My first job, other than babysitting, was at a Dairy Queen in 1973 for $1.25 an hour. I made the best curls on the top of the cones. My mother wanted to encourage me to save money, so she told me that anything that I put into my savings account to save for something big, she would match. I saved enough, at $1.25 an hour, to pay for half of one of those student trips to Europe. She paid for the other half and I went the next summer when I was 17. As for junk food, lately it's been ice cream but sometimes it's chocolate, but both I'm giving up both for the new year. I want to lose the rest of the extra weight I'm carrying and get healthy and that means very different eating habits. I did it before though a couple of years ago and lost 90 pounds, so I kinow I can do it again.
