This is a cool song I have NEVER (to my knowledge) heard before (shocking).

I was only a couple of months old when it came out, but heck, I've heard tons of music from 10, 20, 30, 40 years earlier than this, but this one is new to me----and its HOT!

Brenston was with Ike Turner at the time as a saxaphonist and also sang lead vocals on Rocket 88 and Sam Phillips credited Brenston as the writer after recording it in his studio. It was a sore spot for Ike though as he wouldn't let Jackie sing the song when he rejoined the band after a previous falling out so there was some bad blood associated with that song right from the start.
