The biggest thing in the world of MMA right now is the new women's bantamweight champion - Ronda Rousey.

This 135lb (61kg) dynamo got a shot at the title after just 4 professional bouts and wrecked the former champ with a nasty arm bar at 4:27 of the first round. To put this victory in perpsective, some info:

- the woman she defeated (Meisha Tate) was 12-1 at the time, no slouch.
- the 4:27 Rousey spent in that fight is more time than she spent in all of her previous 4 pro fights combined.
- Rousey has won every fight she's every had - amateur and pro - by armbar submission.
- Rousey is the 2008 Olympic bronze medalist in Judo.

I didn't read followup reports to confirm the next day bc I don't really care about womens mma, only mens, (Ronda is one of the maybe 4 skilled athletes in it right now, pretty shallow talent pool) but I believe it wasn't broken, only dislocated.

That night they thought there was no structural damage. Still a nasty arm bar, it was odd how it just rolled over like that when she put the crank on it, i've never seen an arm behave like that. Usually it's a hard pop and then it rolls slightly.

For you pervs who don't care much about mma, check out meisha tates (the one that lost) pictures, she did a nice spread for ....fhm I think that showed her ass, pretty epic butt on her. She also posted a twitpic of her in a thong that was exceptional as well.

"Rowdy" Ronda Rousey is at it again - this time submitting a former champ in just 54 seconds. Here's a re-cap of the entire fight from last night (should take you about as much time to read it as it took to actually happen):

* bell rings & Rousey immediately punches Kaufman in the face and pushes her up against the cage. Kaufman avoids a hip throw, but is leg tripped. Rousey mounts her and hits her in the face a few more times. Kaufman lifts her arms to cover up and Rousey grabs the exposed limb and begins to work for an armbar. Kaufman defends against the inevitable for about 20 seconds before Rousey secures the submission and wins the fight. Total elapsed time = 54 seconds.

I never feel threatened by anyone I'm a Marine and have been black belt in jujitsu sence I was 20. But I have been accused of looking threatening. BTW I find it amusing that you'd think I'd be threatened.
