actually last drs check up confirmed that I have never been better.

I never realized how truly profound those few words were until a woman in my doctors office was weeping as she watched me (what I now know) pill-rolling. Bla bla bla ... "try this" is a common phrase I hear regularly now from a group of doctors that don't have the guts to say "you're pretty much fucked " but instead choose to say this might help. If running to the toilet all hours of the day to puke your face off is their idea of helping, I dread the day that they run out of idea's. I wake up each day with a smile on my face and am thankful for all that has come my way in life thus far ... and got a reality check as to my belief that I am ten feet tall and bulletproof. I get to look forward to being able to buy my own birthday and Christmas presents and actually being surprised when I open them ... not to mention being able to hide my own Easter Eggs without remembering where I put them.  I distanced myself from a few people that mean the world to me in order that they don't forget to live life to the fullest in order to "take care of me" and the feeling of pushing a loved one away out of necessity is something I don't wish on my worst enemy. Life is good ... embrace it.

Bah - menopause here , hot flushes and sleep disturbance - add a low level cold and hot weather and I'm pretty miserable. I know others have far more to cope with so I'm thankful that most of this will go.

Currently in recovery from 2 broken ankles and a fractured heel since mid May. Had plates installed, left ankle has about 16 screws, the other ankle and heel, only about 6 screws. It hurts to walk, which I do like a newborn calf, but reading everyone elses ailments, I guess it could be worse!! Wishing everyone happy days and good health. : /
