There is a lag in time from when someone votes to when the actual name shows up and the vote is tabulated. I've seen it take anywhere from a few minutes to at least an hour. Sorta' like when you post a story and then have to wait for it to show up.

Thanks for the explanation. I think the "ominous precedent" had to do with CAW stories automatically receiving a positive vote, which is unfair to non-CAW stories. I agree that this is bad policy. However, after your mistake, I think how you handled the situation was the right thing to do in this case.

BTW, I'll probably add my story to the stories site later, but I don't expect you to keep monitoring the site, so don't feel obligated to give my story an automatic vote.

I have read all of the challenge stories now and it will be a challenge to come up with just one to vote for. There were so many very good ones this time... far more than in past challenges. I may have to re-read a few before making a choice. Thanks go to all of the fantastic writers. We sure have more than our fair share of them here.

I sincerely hope we are not seeing the start of a repeat of the CAW 10 scandal as everyone has played the game but I notice that 2 recent arrivals Marry4 and Ukslut who have left smileys on several threads have now been banned. Hope this is a one-off incident.

I find myself wondering who the writer really is. What he/she is like in real life to talk to. To look at. Maybe I'll become curious about what the person does in real life. Usually, it takes a pretty good story to make me start thinking that way.

That is such a shame because there are so many superlative stories and we appreciate the participation of everyone. Just because you find one story to be not to your liking doesn't mean that you should skip reading all the others. You are missing out on some of the best stories ever written here.

Don't wimp out just because of one story. JT has a style all his own and it is not reflected or emulated (that I know of) by other authors.

If you find one sour grape in a whole bunch, do you refuse to buy any more grapes because of that one? Probably not. That incident in the story is just that one sour grape.Keep reading, you may be surprised that you will like the others.

I too quit reading about halfway through. They got a little too gross for me.

The stories were well written and imaginative as usual. But many had no sex and were not to my taste. The cop pooping in his pants. The wolfwoman sticking her fingers up a guy's ass. The hooker slicing up someone's nuts.

I finally had to go search for some good old fashioned sex stories about cheerleaders and such. I'll probably finish up the rest when the right mood strikes me.

I did a quick count on the posts on this thread and I got 64 (margin of error applies) from either we writers, EJLS or ELP. Three from Cracked jaguar and a few from don.

Where are all those "oh gosh I loved them all, its going to be so hard to pick" posts we long to see.

Or "still getting through them..."

Doesn't seem to be a awful lot of interest.

Am I wrong? Are you out there reading like a man possessed but just quietly keeping your powder dry and not wanting to say yet? (or like a woman possessed keeping your talcum powder dry etc)

Sorry, Don. Hell, anybody with half a brain knows that you have been my biggest cheerleader since I joined this site over five years ago! When you like a story, you like it a lot. Conversely, you can dislike a story. And Sir, if you disliked certain elements of mine, then you DAMN WELL HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY SO!

I can only say that the story pictured pushed me to leave my normal genre and to write a cutting edge (no pun intended) story. Yes, the scissors were a bit severe, yet I believe this only emphasized the elements of brutality and a deranged mind. Rape or BDSM are not my cup of tea...but this is what I wrote!
