I would not take Croatia to be an easy match, how often do England trip over smaller teams that we should on paper beat, and the Italians when they turn up are fucking deadly.

Kevin Pietersen has retired from all international ODI cricket, and is only playing in tests, which leaves a big gap. Australia seem to be improving, although whether they're ready is open to question. South Africa are possible, but always seem to lose their heads on the big stage. India and Sri Lanka are worth a punt. My money's still on England, though.

I know lots of Germans, all good folk, but you are right about their team, you just have to cheer against them, unless of course they are playing Scotland, I would support a team comprising of every evil nazi from Unky Adolf down to Fritz the coffee boy if they are playing Scotland, but no worries as we will never see the Scots in any major tournament except maybe the Mackerel Cup which they will lose to the Faeroe Islands.

Well, it's kind of the nature of a Tournament that when the group stages are over there will be no easy games because, if you think about it, the weaker teams have been eliminated.


If Rooney gets hurt in training we will have a better chance, he looked bloody slow and his first touch is fucking hopeless.

Yes I was forgetting that the Jocks are now as bad at Rugby as they are Football.

I agree that Rooney was not his usual self but that could be ring rust. I would drop Ashley Young before Rooney because he is a liability when England are not in possession. He does not track back and the game seems to go on around him.

Rooney will get better and if not there is a plan B on the bench.

Rolling over Greece is not that hard to do, they played with 10 men behind the ball for most of the game, the only shock was the score line, it should have been at least 7 and the German defence opened up twice for Greek goals.
