Those are the three teams I can name offhand that HAVE beaten Spain while they were at this level. It just so happens that so far, Spain's bad performances have come in friendlies or in the group stages; one bad performance in the knockout stage and they don't win the trophy.

This maybe true. However, when it comes to winning a trophy I think he has a point. You don't have to win every hole on a golf course to become a champion, you just need to be the one victorious at the end. It doesn't look as if anyone is going to be able to take their champions status away from them.

I dont follow soccer much.. but do people even follow international soccer matches outside the 'Cups'?? I never heard of them.. Im sure they dont care so much about winning/losing there as well.

Because say what you will, Spain has NEVER Allowed a goal in knockout stages of cups since 2006 fifa. Id say thats pretty Beast in itself.

But Spain have not shown a sign of losing a knockout stage match. Granted Portugal got them to penalties, but they never hit a shot on target. They haven't even conceded a goal in over 1000 minutes of football under those conditions. You have provided examples that are explicitly non-knockout matches. The point is simple, Spain win the games they need to in order to become champions. In golf you win the holes you need to in order to win the competition. Golf was a crappy example, but the point still stands.
