First I use the User CP function to just turn all the pictures off. They appear just like an internet address and I can click on it if I choose to and see the image.
But as far as the ignore function I'm still using Kimiko's functional ignore. Which is: "Well the best way to ignore someone is to ............ well ...... just ignore them."

Just because you put someone on ignore it still does not stop them posting VM's on your wall. Only blocks them seeing certain things on your profile and prevents you seeing posts made by them on the forums. They can still see yours though.
To block VM's from them as well people need to restrict their settings to 'allow messages from friends/contacts/mods only' or don't allow any. Same with PM's. Anyone you have on your blocked list and your options set like I said will then get a message saying 'sorry you do not have permission to do that' if they try.
