If she was 15, and it was a magazine or a penthouse or something, I'd just tell her to hide it better, I was reading that stuff by that age so it'd be pot calling kettle. However if it was on her computer I'd lock that shit down. There is some SCARY porn out there, that she doesn't need to be exposed to until she's older and has more of a personal center.

I've been very open in discussing sex with my children I'd found naked men pictures as a liner at the bottom of my daughter's dresser drawer and gave my son his first pornos at 16 (Le Blue Girl) My son's more subdued like his mother on the subject and the daughter is like me. I too made sure to answer honestly and get the sex talk out early. My kids always had computer access, so they could get to porn anytime they wanted to. The only time I had to bring it up was when I found some searches on my son's computer that he pretty obviously was hiding. I let him know I had found them and did it in a way that made it clear that it was nothing to be ashamed of or hide. Both of my children did NOT learn the puritanical sex taboos from their home life!

In your case, though, my concern would be that they are leaving out the pron on purpose for shock value or to seem 'naughty'. I was raised in the standard American 'Sex Bad, Violence Fine' household and it would take effort to find my porn. If it is just laying about and you have not actively gone against society's teaching you are most likely entering the rebellious phase of your parent/child relationship. Enjoy!

Well I only have and will only have my daughter. If its magazines then ihave no prblem with it,toys to. Just tell her to hide better.

No internet porn though. There is way to much nasty shit on the internet...a lot I don't even look at. Altho internet porn is free....kind of a toss up. Eiter way, talk to ur kids and let them know its perfectly ok to be curious ad want to see it. The more you shield their eyes from it,the harder they'll try to get it from other sources.

I just had the "talk" with my sister. I was open and honest with her and i let her know that she has nothing to be ashamed of as far her growing body is concerned and shes going to have thoughts and that there nothing to be emberrased about and she can talk to me about anything regardless of what it is. And if i found those things in her room i would just tell her to be more discreet about it.

We would have another little talk. They would have had the first talk years before but this one would more focus on...
"Where did you get these toys?" Just wanting to make sure they are clean.
"How did you find these videos?" Just wanting to make sure they didn't go to a shady site...
"Are you sexually active?" Trust me, I would be more upset if they were having sex than if they were responsibly getting off on their own, especially if they aren't being safe about it.

Knowing me though, by the time they are 15 or when ever they start getting interest in that, I would have provided some "approved" products. Maybe not hard-core porn but some of the tamer stuff one can see on cable movie channels late at night and items to help with their self exploration. My sexual awakening happened young and my step mom did the same for me (birth mom beat the crap out of me). My step mom found my porn mags when I was young and only got in trouble for stealing them. She grounded me for stealing but gave me some erotic stories as to make up for it. Told me it's easier to hide written porn from people than it is visual. She knows I now write it myself and I do erotic artwork... and pose. Unlike what prudes think, just because I was exposed to all that when so young, it didn't rush me to having sex. I stayed a virgin until I was 23 and I lost it to my then fiancee, we were both virgins and trying to wait until we were married. Knowing we would get married, we had sex. Losing it wasn't a priority because I knew I could take care of my own needs myself.
