Multi theme search?

Ive been a longtime fan of this site, but one thing has always irked me. Why dont we have the option of searching for two or more themes at one time? Maybe I want to search BDSM stories along with Lesbian stories, or maybe stories that have both Fan Fiction and Horror in them.

Can't be done without a bottom-up rewrite of the story site.

When you click on a theme or genre, you are not submitting a query. You are just linking to a path (such as ../Themes/9/Blackmail) that redirects to a list page. The "9" before "Blackmail" is the kicker. You can't even trick it by sending a parameterized request (something like ...results.php?q=Blackmail+Humiliation), because the server wouldn't know what to do with it.

To allow multi-theme search, the site would have to be rewritten to actively query the story list.

You also can't reliably trick it in Google (site:stories.xnxx.com allinurl: Themes/12/Blackmail Themes/3/Asian) because no such index exists, containing both values in the same URL. And there is no way to tell Google, "Show me all links that appear in these two urls."

You can sort of trick Google by choosing genre-specifc words. Porn is remarkably formulaic. If you want a story of a dad who whales on his girl with a belt and then makes her thank him with her mouth, this ought to do it:

site:stories.xnxx.com "spank" "daddy" "sorry" "throat"

I know, too much information. But the search capabilities have bugged me for a long time, too. I use Google if I have to find anything around here.

Though I must say search in the Forum sucks somewhat less, because it uses VBulletin. (Now, if only VBulletin would allow you to cross-search on tags.....maybe there is a way, but if there is, I haven't found it.....)

The only problem with that is tagging. Some people don't properly label their stories, so here you are searching for a specific genre and it says one 'theme' instead of another.

There have been occasions where a story isn't there to be found. It was deleted, or a glitch caused it to 'disappear', or even still you don't remember anything significant about it to search for it.

People tend to overuse the tags for a higher view count. What you find might not contain the content that you're looking for in the first place.
