I'm usually a fan of your work, and this one reminds me of why. As Clarise said about two of my recent stories, it's "guy-centric", which is pretty much all I write myself. I've never done a real coming-of-age story -- don't know if I could -- but I know a good one when when I read it.

The story resonated with me. I had several "Mike"s in my life growing up, but only one Digger, a girl I met at a party in college. That's part of the merit of this story in my personal opinion. I "got" it. I was there. I was you.

The other, much larger part is the sensitivity with which the tale is told.

What a recipe! Start with a base of good solid story-telling, a hearty blend of teen angst, nostalgia, romance, and sex. Throw in a dash of ELP's trademark quadruple-entendres, and simmer over low heat, carefully blending in details and dialog. Serve in a graphically enhanced bowl garnished with wry humor.

Seriously, all male readers will laugh until they fart reading this line: "Remember," he coached, "it's the wet, soft hairy place between her legs. There's a hole there and it smells like tuna. You can't miss it!"

Good, honest story-telling works for me.

I've had a little more exposure to this site and its authors now and I've determined that there are only a few who can actually craft an excellent sexy, true story and bring me out of reality, and ELP is definitely one of them.

I've met too many "Digger"s in my life, and it was funny and sexy when she went on her tearful, half-drunk rambling. It kind of reminded me of Alaska from John Green's Looking For Alaska, if anyone's read that book. Of course, the encounters with Mike and the group of guys are completely realistic to me, as well. It felt like a condensed book, almost...

Thanks ELP. That was a great way to go back and relive some of my past memories. I am sure most guys have a memory of someone special that was their first, or did something memorable that never left our minds. I suppose my favorite was as a nineteen year old horny male, an older woman took me on, and patiently taught me what women like, and how to really please a woman. Yes, I still remember her name to this day and will always be thankful to her for my "higher education". Sorry, I will not disclose it. Your story did touch all the buttons that make a story special. You asked me for comments, so here are some: This is certainly a well-written piece. Sentence by sentence and paragraph by paragraph, I thought it was very nicely done.

Real life incidents rarely have the coherent plot structure of a well crafted piece of fiction, and I think that applies here. For much of this piece it feels like it's building up to be a love story, but of course that never happens. And in fact, (and sadly for you) nothing of substance really happens. Instead of there being a satisfying resolution at the end, things just abortively stop.

Making a well-plotted short story out of a piece of real life is a tough job. On those occasions when it's been done successfully, any sensible reader has to suspect that "real life" has been tucked and trimmed and tailored at least a little bit to fit the requirements of good plotting.

but at the same time it's so obvious, if you think about her motives, that inside she's not like that at all. It's all a front, it's all nervousness.

It's sad to think that she probably felt even more worthless, since obviously she woke up sometime while he was licking her pussy, and pretended to be asleep.

This story IS true, Cupcake, and thanks for reading it. Digger was as I described her and her motives eluded me. I tried to write this from my 16-year-old mindset and didn't add any of my adult viewpoint to it.

Are you referring to THIS recurring event?
If he had to be a favorite of a mod, then why is THIS allowed to stay up?
Toy Store Boy has a recurring event in June which is still showing - I guess Dizzyworks673 is a favorite or a sock as well.

Eh, well as a girl her motives seem pretty obvious to me.

Being a slut is both empowering and de-empowering. For one- men do usually look down on you. But then at the same time you feel empowered because you can drag them around by the tip of their noses. or dicks, rather.

At the same time, a girl still desperately longs for acceptance, someone to romance her, ect. Everyone dreams of getting a white knight, someone to save them. what they don't realize is that EVERYONE ELSE is dreaming of the same thing. you were dreaming of a girl who you could fuck but also love (it seemed to me. maybe i'm wrong) who would make you feel like less of a dork (as every virgin feels till they loose it). She was dreaming of someone who would make her feel that empowerment she gets when being sexy, but also like she is more than just a slut. Which is why she went for you rather than just the people who gave her lame lines.


She felt a connection with you (did you feel it too?) which is why she broke down and cried in front of you.
She would never admit it- which is why she tried to change the subject by distracting you with sex. But she wanted you to bring it up, and draw it out of her. You ever hear a girl say "If a person cares about me, when they ask me if something's wrong and I say 'no', they will know I'm lying"? It's the same concept.

Honestly, I don't know if she would ever have been able to be in a relationship (which is what I think she wanted, if her breaking down was any indication. though why she broke down with someone who was leaving, who knew? maybe she thought you were safe, since you were leaving). She would have craved the feeling of being worth something that her slutty activities gave her. So I can see her cheating on a guy, if a sexier one came along. She would have though "see, I'm worth even more than the guy i'm currently with.". Do you understand what I am getting at? If you were dating a girl with a great personality but who was kinda drab, and another girl who was incredibly sexy hit on you, you'd probably get an ego-boost, right? Same idea.

The good news is she might have grown out of it and come to her own. After all, you guys were just 15. I'm 22 and I know I still have lots of growing up to do. but I understand myself a lot more, and am able to think through my own motivations and actions.

I went back to Leamington, for vacation, a couple of years later. I looked for Digger but never found her.
