It would be GREAT if we could remove all the obnoxious spam from the comments sections of our stories. I don't know why, but for some reason it really annoys me that people are using that space to advertise themselves.

Agreed 100%, but don't hold your breath waiting for THAT to change.

Unlike sites that allow control like that, http://stories.xnxx.com/ has no advertising. Therefore, it generates no revenue for the owners. They're not going to spend a penny on coding changes.

The "hmu on yahoo i have fat cok for yung grils" posts are against site regulations about posting personal info, but no one monitors or moderates the place, so the morons (and spam-bots) can do what they like.

Sorry you have to put up with this problem Kinkybelle. It will not go away as long as we still allow freedom of speech. Please ignore the braindead imbicles that post that and remember you have thousands of satisfied readers that love your work. Actually, only one, I clicked approve 80,000 times. Just kidding. I am anxiously waiting for your next series because I loved this one so much. Congratulations on a story well done..... and still on top, like you like it.

JUST a suggestion from a reader -

One option would be to disable the comments [hello, wantsomefun, Ka Hmnd] - possibly commenting at the end that readers can comment in the forum. This would prevent anonymous posts at least.

This is not a free speech issue. "Free speech" means that the government cannot prosecute you for the public statements you make or unfairly quash those statements (although there are some exceptions even to those rules). If I remove a comment on my story, that's not an infringement on anyone's free speech, not unless I'm the agent of some government acting on a mandate from that government.

I stopped allowing comments on the Sex Stories Site some time ago. The underage sexting requests weren't as bad then, but there was this guy. He trolled primarily Lubutt17 (now gone from the site in disgust), ejls, and me. The fucker was relentless, often posting in the guise of the so-called Obama troll, a raving lunatic poster who sometimes posed as a white supremacist, sometimes black, as a political radical or a reactionary. He had way too much time on his hands, and he was more obsessed than JD, DL, and stumbler all rolled into one.

He posted anonymously on nearly two dozen stories on the front page of http://stories.xnxx.com/ one day, propositioning men and signing the name of a female member. When that got people riled up, he started posting anonymous comments on many writers' work, signing my name and several others. Eventually, he got banned for posting threats and personal information about another member.

There are too many weirdos out there. At least here, they have to log in as someone. Even the sockmeisters don't stay anonymous forever. They get cocky about all the shit they're starting, and then they get careless and screw up. If you've spent any period of time here, you'll remember some of them.

Denying comments -- that's how I handled asshole comments on the stories site.

sorry to hear about your bad experience with a troll - you are too good of a writer to have to deal with that.
I have only read a few of your works but have enjoyed every one that I read - correction - I appreciated the one where the main character is in a collapsed building but that was still a good read.

I've come to notice certain things. in the first few replies there is almost always the request to make the person pregnant.

There there are the people argue that the writer is sick, which are equaled by those who say that the writer is awesome for his or her story.

I do agree the who "I'm 14 and looking for sex" Comments are over done.

Really? My first comments are usually either requests for a sequel or something to the effect of "What the hell was that?"

I wonder how that "advertising" works out for them. I never even look at the comments.

In the next chapter get her pregnant is certainly a common comment here and sometimes other readers disagree with them and argue.

There's one guy who has commented on I'm guessing at least ten of my stories with his personal ad. Funny thing is he is a member and has an account here. I'm always tempted to contact him and see if he gets replies though since he does it a lot I'm guessing he must. Strange

The sad fact is that I'm a bit of a validation whore, and so turning off the comments would choke off a major source of what makes the writing fun for me. I certainly derive a great deal of personal pleasure during the writing process (both physical and emotional), but hearing from readers who felt 'touched' by my words really gives me the biggest thrill.

I find I don't get as much feedback here as from some other sites, and more than half of the legit responses I do get come through the comments function. So, turning off comments would be like cutting off my clit to spite my pussy (that's how the saying goes, yes? And...OUCH!).

I can't imagine why anyone would respond to the spammers, but I supposed they wouldn't bother doing it if it didn't sucker in a few people now and again. Ah, well, not a big deal. Like I said originally, it would be a nice feature to be able to weed out the junk, but I won't be holding my breath for any such upgrade anytime soon.

Thank you for your wonderful creativity and courage to write, post, and take comments on these stories. The mind is more erotic than the eye, and you have proved that by your writings. Thank you from a fellow New Yorker.

I have considered doing this myself but it defeats the whole point as to why I joined up in the first place. I have never gone outside my peer group and family to read my stories before this site and I'm looking for comments and feedback to help me grow as a writer.

I've posted my same stories on the forum and i recive far less feedback here so I feel like if I disable the comments then I would get very little at all.

I get really excited when I see that I got a new comment and I look forward to reading it, if it's a spam comment I get really disapointed.

The spam sexting comments from children really bothers me and I have asked them to stop and it hasn't. I figure at this point that if I want the real comments then I must accept the spam too.

But all in all I feel like it's been worth it, the comments I have recived from the real people out there have been great. I have more than once changed direction or changed the story all together due to feedback.

I think your a great writer KB don't let stupid people get you down and keep up the good work.

This site prides itself on allowing to speak their minds, which is why we don't have that option. Unfortunately, we don't have anyone working on that site, or should I say enough people working, to keep up with it. There is no way they can monitor every comment.

I'll put in my two cents here on the subject: The part of underage people posting on the comments of my stories is of absolute annoyance and has me at times wondering if the poster of them is seeking to cause me some kind of trouble.

Yet I do like the comments left by other people, ones who actually have read the stories and then comment, not trolls or on one poem I posted in the story site, left a comment about selling snow tires and wipers for the winter season coming up.

Which is why it would be great if the author's themselves could manage the comments - no admin effort required, beyond programming the function.

I have noticed that my stories that end up on the Top Rated list seem to attract much more spam. Lately I would say that roughly half (or more) of the comments are junk. Very annoying.
