Why the hell isn't the english announcer first!? It's our games, not the bloody french. Other than that it's been ok. Best bit in my opinion is the Mr. Bean part.

Well I thought that was superb. Danny Boyle did us proud. pitty about the commentators, they weren't necessary, and shame about them wheeling Macca out at the end, didn't really want to see his vomit face. They could have ended on pink floyd with the fireworks and it would have been perfect

Just watched the Industrial revolution bit again, just to take it all in. That whole piece was spectacular. I've been in a right negative mood for the last 7 years regarding the Olympics, this ceremony has completely won me over.

Haha yes - the rural idyl was rather like that.

Loved the beginning sequence, just about fell asleep through the parade of competitors, and the torch was just spectacular. The rest I could take or leave; that big puppet Voldemort was a bit scary for the kiddies - and why the hell did it start so late? I'd have thought 7 or 8 would have been a more sensible time, unless they were scheduling it for darkness with the forging of the rings.

I think it was the worst Olympic Opening events in recent history.
it was so boring and lame that I was waiting for it to get end.
Only watchable moment was marching of Participating countries with their respective flags..
