Large red bump in pubic area. Ingrown hair? Please Help!

I have a bit of a problem. About two days ago, I noticed a large red lump at the top of my pubic region. Not near the penis or testes at all. It is a bit large, about the size of a penny. Quite red, but no puss or anything disgusting like that. Just a large, red bump. I initially and still think it's an ingrown hair. I do a bit of manscaping which includes shaving the top of my pubes to make sure it's no huge bush. The bump is a few CM below where I stopped shaving, so I'm guessing I didn't notice that my razor slipped and got a hair?

I'm a little worried, because it seems like a bit larger than an ingrown hair should be. I know for 100% certainty that it is NOT an STD. I have only had my one current lore for my entire life, and am 100% certain neither of us have an STD. Am I being too worried? Just an ingrown hair, or something else? If it's an ingrown hair, what should I do?

Also, I'm only 18, so how would I be able to go to the doc without my parents knowing? Is there any way to do that?

If your in the USA 18 is legal and your parents would not know unless you gave consent or let them know. Go to planned parent hood they have doctors that look at this kind of shit or even a free clinic.

If you've been with one girl and she hasn't cheated and is clean, then you shouldn't worry too much.
Quite honestly, it just might be a genital pimple. Pimples can happen anywhere where hair grows. My bf had one once and we were a bit worried too so we got it checked out and it wasn't a big deal, just gave him some special cream, but it wasn't an STD.

Google genital pimples and see if you have the symptoms. Although penny-sized is a bit large, it can still happen.

Go to a free clinic instead of your normal doctor, if you prefer.

When I read the title of this thread, I assumed it probably was an ingrown hair or just a whitehead forming. Either way it should take care of itself. I recently trimmed and have gotten similar stuff happening down there. For me it goes away on its own.

I wouldn't worry about it. But if it does burst and an alien comes out, then maybe go to the doctor.

I've had a couple ingrown hairs down there, I usually just pluck all the hairs on/around it with tweezers.

Dude relax, it's an ingrown hair, all you do is grab a pin, open it up. Use tweezers to pull the hair out. Use some antiseptic cream on it and slap on a band aid. In 2 days you will see an improvement.

My vote goes to ingrown hair as well, but if that worried, go to the doc for a "stomach ache" If you parents have good insurance on you, that's the way to do it...if your gonna end up paying cash anyway, then go to the cheaper planned parenthood like mentioned or a free clinic...but if you have insurance, I'd go to the regular doctor and just ask the real reason for the visit be kept confidential. Your parents will find out that you went cuz they will get the portion of the bill that insurance doesn't cover, so be up front with the and make an appointment and they will have no suprises when the mail comes in 2 weeks

A penny sized area is pretty big for an ingrown hair. I would get it looked at if I were you. Go to a Planned Parenthood clinic. They've seen everything when it comes to "down there" and they are cheap or even free in some cases.
