If she consistently take the pill every single day, on a regular schedule, then the chances of pregnancy occurring are pretty low, but there is still a very slight chance.

According to my quick google search, condoms are 98% effective while the pill is 95% effective. You do run a slightly higher risk relying on the pill.

I don't know where you got your stats. Planned Parenthood says that condoms are 76 to 85% effective and BC pills and shots are 91 to 98% effective.

Other than sterilization, the only methods that are 99% or more effective are IUD's and birth control implants. If I was still fertile I would probably go for the implant. IUDs can be a problem if you happen to get pregnant and they cause cramping for some women.
