which smells worse: rotten meat or vegetables?

I'm inclined to think it's rotten meat overall, though I've smelled some pretty rank rotten vegetables. I just don't know!

I'm inclined to say rotting meat smells worse, because while I've had to throw away both, rotting meat has a smell that consistently knocks me on my feet. Rotting veggies stink but meat will fucking knock a man out.

Rotting meat = retch and try to keep from vomiting as you get out the hazmat gear to dispose of it.

I reckon rotten meat is in my top 7# foul smells list. Restaurant garbage bins are usually half meat/half vegetables. Week in, week out, the same bins, same nasty stench. During the hot summer days, the meat & vegetables begin decomposing much faster.

I think there's something in our DNA that finds rotten flesh especially revolting. I heard after Hurricane Katrina people didn't even attempt to clean their refrigerators. They just duct taped them closed and put them on the curb.

I don't notice the smell of rotting vegetables as much and the smell of rotten meat doesn't bother me to the point that I gag or throw up. But I have a stumach like iron.

Interesting stuff to read about. I don't think I could eat it. Texture, smell, and flavor are very important to me, and I already hate fruits and vegetables. They feel bad in my mouth.
