Reading this thread there are so many accents That I love to listen to, but none of my top 5 are from my country.

It's not that I dislike like US accents, I've just heard them all my life so they aren't "extra-special".

There are some US accents I despise though and the number one offender is from my own home town. (disclaimer- the accents I like/dislike are based on people who are not understandable. In my opinion, any accent is crappy if the person you're speaking to can't understand what is being said.)

The rest of my lists are given in no particular order. Some of these are depicted in the movie/TV shows given as examples.

There is no such accent as British!! There are Scottish, Welsh and English accents - Scottish can be Glaswegian, Lowland, Highland and more; and English has many regional variations beside the middle or upper class 'posh' accent. Even Irish differs from the harsh Northern Irish accent to the soft Eire lilt. It's pretty much like saying I like American accents......

I know, but I was limited to only my top 5 and I like other accents that aren't located in great Britain. What I should have put in my list is " the countries/regions that make up Great Britain".
