Immortal Technique- The 4th branch

If anyone wants to hear a politicaly charged musician you have to listen to Immortal Technique. Its a trip listening to him. He talks about real issues and makes some pointed accusations and knows his shit. He talks about varoius conspiracies, us gov't atrocities, economical colonialism, military industrial complex, all kinds of sutff.

However i will say this. He is a very and extremely graphic rapper. If you can't get past that then i would say pass on technique but if you can take it listen to a few of his songs.

Cause of death
Peruvian Cocaine (talks about the path of cocaine and each rapper portrays a certain person in the chain. The first rapper is the peruvian field worker, then its the guard, then its a peruvian drug official, then its a cia agent that helps get the goods into america, then its the guy on the block that sells it to the streets, then its an undercover agent busting the dope seller, then its the guy incarcarated for drug distribution)

Cause of death especialy starts off graphic for about the first 30 seconds but then it goes into other stuff and he says things like the government blew up wellstones plane for being progressive.

I heard Children of Bodom play that song live. Amazing. All of the Are You Dead Yet? stuff rules. Sixpounder was their best. Heard Halo on the live tour this summer when they were touring with Anthrax, Rob Zombie and some others.

Actually, I think One Hot Minute is by far their best effort ever. Then again, they're sort of a different band with Navarro's influence.

That CD wasn't as good as I was hoping. It's not as funky-hip as Guero but not quite as mellow and laid back as Sea Change. It's this weird mix that I'm not sure if I like or not. I need to listen to it more, but the past week I've been listing to pretty much only audio books on the ol' iPod.

At the moment it's Lost Keys (Blame Hoffman) by Tool. I've got this nifty little app that wakes me up to a selected iTunes playlist. Waking up to Vicarious in the morning is pretty surreal.
