Looks like I have this thread all to myself. Wow, I do it like a blog.

The reason I tested, is because two days ago Firefox kept posting a warning:

SERVER IS REFUSING CONNECTIONS. FIREFOX IS CONFIGURED TO USE THE SERVER, BUT IT IS REFUSING CONNECTIONS.

SOLUTION : AFTER TRYING EVERYTHING ELSE, RESTORED MY COMPUTER TO AN EARLIER DATE. REINSTALLED FIREFOX, AND EVERYTHING IS GO.

Getting ready to put my Menorah up for Hanukah. Couldn't find candles to fit, so I am whittling down the bases. No I'm not Jewish (yet), but I think it is a nice tradition, and I do it to honor my Jewish friends, (unknown to them of course). FYI Hanukah starts this year Dec. 15. Still have two more to do.

TWO TIMES IN A ROW NOW I WAS WRITING A POST ANDN WHEN I HIT SUBMIT IT WASNT THERE. THIS IS ON #3 COMPUTER. FIRST TIME I HIT THE WRONG KEY, WHATEVER, AND IT TOOK ME BACK TO THE SECTION PAGE WITH THREADS. COULDNT GO BACK AND FIND MY POST I WAS WORKING ON.

SECOND TIME I DID A NEW ONE AND HIT SUBMIT AND IT WAS GONE, DID NOT APPEAR IN THIS THREAD.

oN #7 WORD SAID IT NEEDED REPAIR. PUT IN THE DISK AND THEN IT SAID IT COULDNT FIND THE INSTALLER PATCH, THIS HAPPENED BEFORE AND I HAD TO GO TO MICROSOFT AND REINSTALL WINDOWS INSTALLER. SO I COULDNT FIX WORD. IT WOULLDN'T LET ME COPY AND PASSTE.

FINALLY WENT ON #3 AND COPIED THE WHOLE DAMN XNXX FOLDER TO #3, THEN COULD DO WHAT I NEEDED. NOW I HAVE TO WASTE AN HOUR FIXING THISD GODDAMN WINDOWS INSTALLER WHICH SHOULD NEVER HAVE A PROBLEM. MICROSOFT SOMETIMES IS JUST SHIT. NOI WONDER MAC USERS DONT CHANGE.

Well, been on today counting writing off-line since 12:30 PM it is not 3:27AM, which looks like about 15 hours, Did a lot of looking, reading, not as many posts, also had to take time out for replacing a 6yr old HP monitor that failed. Going to bed now. Have to teach tomorrow.

That's where I am. Main computer started asking for non-existent passwords to access other computers, which I had never set up for that. Then I tried to use the XP restore function, it won't work, closes as soon as it opens with the message that IT HAS A PROBLEM AND MUST CLOSE. I want to shoot Bill Gates.

Tried to use the XP disk to repair windows and IT now wants a password, again which doesn't exist, and which it never asked for before, the dozen or time previous that I have used it.

Now, IF I can make it do it, must either format the system sector and reinstall XP, then have to go through 12 hours of stupid updates. OR use another drive on the computer and put another copy of XP in it. I had to do that on one of my other computers. And then you cant get rid of the first one without formatting.

Sometimes I hate computers, but I can't live without them anymore.

Tried using Linksys disk to redo the LAN on all the computers. Hope it works.

Should have put this on the RANTS ANYONE thread.

Anyway, after getting furious at the damned machinery and software, I spent two hours on xnxx forum and became happy again. What a drug.!!!
