My first post on here under my own name nothing in particular.

oh yes, last night got my 77 running and filled the power steering with ps honey and stopleak ps fluid, drove it around our 2 mile block, and it was still leaking enough to nearly be empty so refilled it and drove it to Pepboys nearby, order them to replace thepower steering pump and install the new electric fuel pump I bought a few months ago. $249.00 but I dont have to do any work.

Dropped the keys between the seats in the Explorer and bruised the hell out of my hand trying to get them out. This damned age purpura, huge purple spots from any pressure on arms or hand.

Should be finished this afternoon. Now going to get my sister and get her purse she left on the paratransit bus, then maybe go to pancake house or KFC with her and cynthia.

I have one but it was in the house, and I didn'tthink about it, wont work on brass or aluminum keys anyway, but might on the ring, I just thought I could reach them but had to finally reach under the seat instead of trying between where I got the pressure bruises. Thanks tho.

Guess my 77 cordoba will be ready in a little while. They said the fuel pump is holding pressure, and its losing gas under the carb, so guess I will pull it off later and check it, the mechanic was afraid to mess with it.

He doesn't know I have rebuilt those two four barrel carbs at least 6 times over the last 20 years.

Being female certainly gets you a different treatment and credibility. But I don't say anything more.

Took the works out of my 1910 Seth Thomas mantle clock out and oiled them.

I had one clock maker in 1960 steal the back cover and my wife wouldn't go get it back from him.

Another one stole the seth thomas pendulum and replaced it with a generic nameless one, he also without my consent painted all the brass bronze, and the pillars dark, they are pink marble. I am still pissed off about after 33 years.

I am going to clean all the paint off of the brass and marble soon, but not after I just got my fingernails done since I have to use acetone for cleaner.

When I was 20 I spent a day disassembling and cleaning the case, it still looked good before he messed it up.

This was a wedding present to my grandparents in 1910. She was 25 then.

Much like these it IS the same clock from a clock site. The face was replaced in 1960's and without the center brass piece. The pillars orignally matched the top.

Called Pepboys, they haven't found a reservoir for my new power steetring pump yet.

The original is ONE PIECE, rather stupid I think to start making it in TWO PIECES, requiring another gasket that can leak. But that's the automotive industry for you. Do it dumb whenever you can.

Nope, replacement carb $400. kits, $25 it doesn't need rebuilding, it only has 1000 mi since it was. The wet gas around it was possibly from my spill when I primed it earlier. It may need the screws tightened around it, or the screws fastening to the manifold, Anyway, I will find out when I get it back and test 24hrs on the fuel pump pressure retention.

Looks like I need to buy a one piece power steering pump at Checker and take it over to Pepboys for installation since they apparently only have a two piece pump and cant find a reservoir for it.

Went to Checker and ordered the one piece power steering pump
It was $86.00 not the $59 I was quoted, he had the wrong one.
Then a different guy at Pepboys gave me a new estimate and added $50 to the original cost to R&R the pump, adding a flush kit for the system.

So he now had $186 instead of the original 130. Will go back to the original person who was in an accident before work so he wasn't there today.

The pump wont be in till tomorrow about noon.

Had a good meeting tonight met some new people and a couple we had seen elsewhere.

Nov 17 is remembrance day and the memorial service.

Largest attendance since I have been there.

Went to Nevada Job Center and tomorrow when I bring in some certificates will get a referral to the Hilton Hotel for assistant chief engineer.

Hope I didn't read that wrong and its assistant chef engineer, I can't cook except a few things.

I spent an hour with a lady there who improved my online profile from my resume, and gave me the referral. I could apply online except when I went to projected site, the job wasn't there.

So I applied and got acknowledged this AM.


Damned cars anyway. noticed cover on brake cylinder not on tight and leaking brake fluid, checked level, down, went to get brake fluid from trunk another car and the lock wouldn't unlock,. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Challengers and Chargers underwent a change at this time, and the chassis started to look like Cordoba's too!

Not really much difference the grille detail is a little different, I have both 75 and 77, but can't really tell the grille detail on that pic.

Same answer from all three of them. They got tired of being fucked over. I am in that same boat. They too had problems getting paid for their counseling time. Right now the county owes me $18,000 for counseling hours that I can't collect.


So this morning I gave them my two week notice. My last day will be Friday the 28th.


I think I might rent an office or buy a building and set up a private practice. We'll see. I am going to take a much needed vacation first. Two years without a break is too much for this old body.

Thanks for dropping by Wafarer, I sometimes wonder if anyone is reading this or just if they just get bored to death. I have used the forum for a blog since shortly after I joined, formerly on "j" by grimer85, now on L.(for Lainie).

I remember when I was at Geo. F. Schuler in Stockton and I was Division Mgr. for Electrical Construction. The union foremen were being paid more than I was, so I rousted up 3 new jobs with better pay, gave my notice.

The owner called me into his office and said: What do you want to stay?
I told him (the moon with a fence around it basically!) and he gave it to me.

3 years later he fired me due to the costly mistakes the union workmen made on a mall we were building. Then they contracted with me to do work for them after I started my own business of consulting, at twice what they were paying me.

I thought that was the ultimate irony. He really did me a huge favor by firing me, I increased my income one year to $120,000 afterwards.

I want to get a job at National Defence...and getting the funds, build Gerald Bull's "Project Babylon". This gun has a one metre bore, and is a RPP.
I already have some good ideas, one will be a recoil mechanism that converts the 24,000lbs into a retraction of the carriage and the loading of the gun with another round.
It must not be able to be hit from space, I think this can be done.

Are your parents still.... no I guess not with your age, like mine. Lost my mom 18months to the day before I died. My dad was the same age I was when I died I have outlived my grandmother who died at 68, my dad at 69, still have a ways to go, my mom was 88. Will likely outlive both my sisters, one 72 the other one 64.

I just had a blurb of my life with my now pic and my high school pic at the top of it published in our H.S. Alumni quarterly newspaper. Denton Cooley went there, Walter Cronkite went there, Gale Storm went there, and so did many other famous people. I am just not one of the famous ones. My mom was in the class of 33, Cooley was class of 37, He attended an alumni meeting just a month before his death.

Passed smog but the power steering went dry on the way home, must be a hose leak they didn't find. Filled it drove 5 mi and was dry again.

Probably the reason the first pump went dry and got ruined.

New ground is going to be broken on the forum with the help of Prince Lemark.

For the first time we are going to see a merger of two user names, and deletion of the old one, if it works right, and I fully expect it to (do so for the English teachers).

This is a solution for people who have changed their user names and still want their old stuff under the new name.

At least this is easier and cheaper than when I changed my real name Jan 9.
It took from November 23 to Jan 9, and cost $200.

So tonight we had a nice dinner with Lorraine, and then we played Bingo, won exactly $0.00 for $56.00 buy in, 84 cards.

Then we went to Walmart, where I saw some really nice cami tops in VELVET for $7.50, in red, white, green, blue, and black.
Tried on a white one but decided the straps would break after a few wearings since it was too hard to get my arms in it, 16/18 size, may try a larger one in a day or two. They are really nice.

Got complimented on my wide brim woven blue hat by the hostess at Palace Station. As well as lots of appreciative looks from guys. I am sorry to be so vain, but dammit, when you get compliments all the time, it does go to your head.

Went to the day of remembrance service for the transgendered, and crossdressers who were murdered, we read the names and circumstances of 24, I read one myself.

Then C & I went over to Lorraines and I spent 3 hours tying to get her computer to boot. We went to eat after we left L's. Finally took it home and today I took the single hard drive and installed it in my computer. McAffee found 4 trojans, my spyware scan showed it clean.

For 3 times I would get a machine check stop when I tried to boot, but now it seems ok. Next step is to see if it will boot my computer. If not I will use the Maxtor Maxblast to rewrite the master boot record.

So I have been on the forum since I got up at 3pm.

That didn't work. The only solution seems to be to format it, None of the install disks would work I was running scandisk and it tells me to run scandisk to fix a file name that is too long when scandisk wont fix it anyway.

If I can get it to run again on my computer without the blue screen stop, I may be able to copy everything but windows onto my drives then format, reinstall windows and move the files back to it.

If someone does the same operations over and over expecting a different result each time they are working with windows 98, that is the game with it. It is quite inconsistent.

Going to Plan C, put the hard drive on a computer that only has 98 on it, then I shouldn't get the blue screen death notice. The drive has been checked by my virus program and scandisk and chkdisk and is OK.

Cant reinstall windows because there is a long filename that scandisk cant fix and then it tells on scandisk to run scandisk to fix it, typical microsoft idiocy.

Now I am absolutely going to quit and work on it. bye.
