Unfortunately the fanatical religious "fundamentalists" seem to be growing in number in this country along with their satanic bigotry.

The North Carolina "Constitutional Amendment" is already unconstitutional under the US Constitution because the Supreme Court recently ruled that any bar to gay marriage is denying the participants their guaranteed civil rights.

However that doesn't stop the bigots, they just ignore the ruling.

The chemo is knocking me around, but I am on the "rest week" and I feel really good, I see the doctor tomorrow and will ask him for a lower dose of chemo meds to see if I can tolerate it better.

Yep, I have Myeloma and Amyloidosis, the first is a bone marrow cancer and the second is where my immune system as gone a bit wrong and is attacking me, spleen, kidneys and heart. The spleen and kidney damage is minimal but the heart damage is extreme so I now have chronic heart failure. Luckily my heart is behaving well at the moment and appears to be settled.

The big issue is the amyloid as the levels have risen up over 100 mg/litre of blood again. The treatment seems to be working and with luck I can get it down to around 30 - 40 mg/l (the normal level is 6 -25 mg/l for healthy people).

My second piece of luck is that I am only a few miles from a centre of excellence in treating these illnesses and have a fantastic team looking after me.

The bad news is that it is not yet curable, but can be managed, I beat the 2 year deadline and now am aiming at beating the 5 year deadline, after that there are no hard figures on how much longer I can keep going but people have made 15 years so I will aim at that and hope that they find a cure.

Hell rich, I hope that you make it 20 years then at least if they don't find a cure you'll at least have made it to Old Age. (You young whipper snapper you.)
