Having been brought up on the weekly British Classics, Beano, Dandy etc. to find muy way into the DC and Marvel Universe was incredible. The colours, the artwork, the stories and the quality amazing, even though the first few were second hand and read in secret (there you go a young boy hiding mags from his parents - the start of the decline).

The first comic from Marvel I ever read (the love affair started then

) brought to my attention, my favourite artist, Steve Ditko. More to follow.

Those 9-11 covers bring back so many memories. They accurately capture the emotion and life of that day. I was in 8th grade when it happened, and I watched as the planes flew into the buildings. Then I saw the towers collapse.

The whole world changed that day... I was just a little boy when the whole world changed... That was when the world went to hell...
