What a trip down memory lane this thread has been. So many of those early Marvel covers were in my comic pile when I was a kid in the sixties (wish I still had them, they would be worth a fortune now).
I was a great fan of all things Marvel, which wasn't easy, as many of the stories were on-going and here in the UK they never seemed to arrive in the newsagents in any particular order, and were harder to find than DC comics.

Spiderman was my favourite (probably because he was a real geeky kid with problems at first) closely followed by Dr. Strange, Master of the Mystic Arts paired up with Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD in 'Strange Tales' as I remember (I could be wrong, it was a long time ago).

My interest waned as I got older, except for a few years back, when a friend gave me a copy of the complete 'Watchmen' series, which I thought was excellent. I read somewhere that there might be a movie made of it, which would definitely be worth seeing.

CHunky, yes Watchmen is slated to be released in theaters in summer of '09. I, for one, am pumped.

Hopefully it follows the book closely. The trailer looks like its taken right from the books. There are definately identifiable frames:
